I really like bust0aster idea. All houses slowly decay. But it doesnt affect the % status it affects the maitence rate. The older the house is the more it costs to keep it going. This makes physical sense, helps architects out, and doesnt let the customer feel their getting screwed because it is a gradual thing.

Architects would sell ZarcathHouse Repair Kits to get the timer reset. There would be a different kit for each type of house each taking a % of the original amount of resources used for that house. Architects would get their money back from selling kits.

Now the amount of time and the increase rate to maitence is up to the devs to balance out. Same with what % it takes to make a kit and what % the house is brought back to.Each one is inrelated. if the rate is really fast then the amount of resource for kit should be low, if rate is way slow the resource should be a high percentage. This is for the devs to decide.

I think that every two months a payer should spend the same amount of money/resource what have you on a house as if they just buy a new one after two months. This is for a small house. Meduim should be 4, large should be 6. Again this is up to the devs to decide and balnce with, I think we should focos on the idea of the system alone.

Actually housing I feel is fine the way it is. Provides for resale due to the OOps Factor. If ya don't put credits in it goes Poof. I can deal with that. But we do need Time Based Decay on Furniture!. We do need Furniture decaying slowly over time from 100 to 0 in about 1-2 months time. Heck even create Furniture Repeair Tools so fix the decay like we have for weapons and armor. But Furniture needs to decay or there will be no Turn over.

Ithink part of the problem is inventory. Players have too much room in their inventory to store items (ie; travel packs, etc) there is no need for a house if u can carry everything with u or leave it in the bank.

I have a small house. It is full. I was thinking of getting a bigger one partly so I could put more stuff in it. Also I like to change the furniture around and such. I think the idea of house decay is ok so long as they took a LONG time to decay if well maintained. I can't imagine buying a new house every year in RL because the old one just fell apart. Also I really don't like moving (though I do like buying new furniture).
