I'm about sick of architects trying to set the standard on pricing for everyone. Shane...have fun hanging on to your deeds, dude. 195K for lg house is absolutely retarted. Anyone who puts that much money out for a lg house deserves to be reemed w/ no vaseline. I bought a lg naboo for 110K.

If that's how you want to price your stuff...so be it. Shut up and quit trying to tell everyone else what to do. That's ridiculous. You must not be doing very well if you're resorting to these forums to tell people to raise their prices. Prolly hear the "why the ****** would I buy this from you when I can get it for so much cheaper from...." thing quite a bit, don't you?

Lower prices and sell MORE. Worked for Wal-Mart, didn't it?

I never have a problem selling anything at 1.5cr/unit. I have money to pay for other architects to risk failures for my heavy installations and buildings. I don't really care if my costs drive other architects to quit. That may be my intent anyway. I've never like people that craft to just make money, I do it for the people and give loads of stuff away free or at greatly reduced prices because I can. In the long run, less architect means less supply and more demand for me, which means I ship more product making more profit. Wal-Mart sells for less and sells more because they have killed all the competition and deal in bulk. Having lower prices means people will remember who they got it from and come back to you for more orders. It means they will pay more 'cause they like you and remember the deal youcut them before. I give money away as it is just because I really have too much at 200k, why would I worry about needing 10 or 20 million?? So it can sit in the bank and make me feel rich?? What a waste. Until such time as all structures degrade, the life of an architech is severly limited. Only so many structures you can sell to each person and quite frankly until there are just a few architechs, the price will always be undercut. Sony should have stuck to their guns and required advanced professionals to need lower skilled architechs to produce items. Then the price would have been fixed higher by necessity, but unless they do that, I will keep producing resources for around .5-1cr/unit and sell finished work for less than 3cr/unit. Live with it because it isn't changing with the current system.

The point is Shane , that I am NOT giving my stuff away for nothing. A good profit is EXTREMELY important to me as I need to run my fleet AND save up for things I cannot make myself. This I am doing. And I am doing it at less than half the price you aretrying to influence people to charge. If people take notice of you then most players will not be able to afford anything cool.People should not be forced to grind just to afford our deeds ,at least not for weeks they shouldnt. It is ourRESPONSIBILITY to provide players with deeds and to do that we do need to profit , but , we should be talking about how we can keepcosts down, not how tocharge extortionate prices. By selling at those prices you are denyingmost players a large slice of the enjoyment of our game. Most people find the xp a daunting enough taskwithout having to grind out your idea of deed prices at the same time. I have been playing fora fewmonths now if you include beta, and I have always had plenty of money selling at half or less of your prices. **edit**, I can undercut me and still make money.

Actually if there were real life, Id charge at or just below cost, corner the market, and run my competitors out of business, and then go 10X cost and reap the benefits of the monopoly...

Well said, it is all just a matter of time. =) Have fun, it's a game and nothing more. Needs improvement, but just play and enjoy the fact that even the greatest resources failure can be overcome with just a little more time. In RL, you be in much more trouble.

The problem with the architect class is we are not needed, well not nearly as much as the weapon smiths and armorsmiths and such. The combat classes go to them for better weaponry and pay for what they get, they might be paying 50 credits per resource for this new rifle they are getting but they also can drop enemies MUCH faster. Now that the combat people have a nice new rifle or blaster or something, they want to stay out and kill longer. This means they need better armor.

They then go to the armor dealers and buy armor, once the weaponsmiths and armor smiths become fairly wealthy they look to buy a house from an architect. At this point the architect needs money more so then anything else to feed harvestors and what not, so they sell it for a low price. Soon there are a lot of weapon smiths and armor smiths that need a vendor/house but they hear their friends bought them for really cheap (15k small house) and all of them clamor over for these houses for 15k, then the price wars begin architects undercut each other slowly and eventually prices are miserably low. Same thing happens with factories, the first few that sell them didnt (at least in my eyes) set it at a high price for people to judge thigns off of.

Look at weaponsmiths, enott was the first one that became publically known by almost all on bloodfin, he sold his laser rifles for 25k, its a rip off but he was first to have it. This set the average laser rifle to 25k on bloodfin for a while.

Im just rambling on over here but this price war thing does kinda make me mad, I try to sell at a level im comfortable withbut no one wants to buy them from me because they have an order with so and so for 3k, and he promises to get their goods to them in a day. But this never happens and the buyer keeps waiting because the person is so back ordered.
