I am STILL outraged that a structure factory takes 2 lots. I love being a crafter. I hate the restrictions. I beg borrow and steal lots to maintain a stocked vendor or fill my guilds needs. I spend 3 hours a day harvesting resources, another 2 on crafting...Countless hours on doing special decoration needs for people such as aquariums, fireplaces, gunracks.
And now....loot kits. As hard as I work, I am not paid 1 million credits for ANYTHING, but that is what is being paid for an adhesive kit for an auto loomed rug. Or 500k for a tiny little jar of blue dye. And can I go out and AFK farm these items? NO, I cannot, because I have no combat skills. Increased loot drop rate? Hah. Not for those pieces. SOE wanted a money sink, I guess. God forbid crafters should actually be able to make a profit.
You laugh, I am sure, and say architects are the richest in the game. Well lets talk about that. If I charge 100k for a large BER 13 mineral harvestor (btw, if I fail and get a BER12 I cant even give it away), and it uses roughly 25k units of resources, (more yes, with components) I am making 4cpu. Except! We have not talked about the cost of running the harvestors, travel, energy, time, deaths due to MOB attacks, etc.
So yeah I get a little hot about a small glass top table loot kit itemselling for 500k.
Oh well, not sure why I am bothering to rant, no one will really listen. But the proposed merchant vendor thing really got me started...anyhow, signing off
Disgruntled.
And I dont post often and am probably just one of the silent majority who will quietly just leave when the time comes, because there ARE other games out there that have more scope for roleplaying a crafter.

Really looking like it's time for another game, soon, Dvnce. I'll take a lot of screenies of my accomplishments for the memories and then move on if these merchant changes go into effect as is.
I wanted to do some architect work this week, but instead I am dealing with NERF after NERF after NERF after NERF from this development team. Raise a middle finger for me when and if you go to the conference.
Aye me too.
