APAP has my vote. In reply to some people who think this wont work and that PA's will do as they will I encourage all APAP people to buy 3k houses and resell them for 10. One such sell is more profitable than 2 houses at 10k for the individual architect. The PA's will come around that they re just loosing money selling at 3k.
Just to let you know if you do this your a speculator, not an architect.
There are already people in the game that make money this way and their not architects (and they don't just do it with houses). Most go down the Merchant professsion.
I view collusion in all its forms as immoral, because human relationships and an efficient societydepend on free and honest flow of goods and information. Would you want your news media to go into collusion about what news they provide you, and at what cost? (oh wait, they already have) Do you think our society runs more efficiently for OPEC's collusion on oil prices?
That being said, real-world ogliopolies are largely unfeasible unless certain conditions are met (such as prohibitively high start-up costs, or legal fiat governing the entrance of new suppliers to the market); they are highly unstable otherwise. The architect profession does not meet those conditions (despite slowing down sampling). You can try, but I promise you this isn't going to work.
if it is fair to cut someones throat then i say let us cut eachothers throats ,find those selling houses for less than 10k and spead rumors about them renaming harvester deeds to house deeds. hey if you want to break 1 law we can break one to, so if collusion is fair in your eyes than slander and liable is fair in ours.
competion is 1 thing thats where you argue prices in dollars and cents.down right grief crafting is another thats where you go so low you kill the profession for those who want to make a house and cant go out and do a destroy mission.and i dont know where you see the high priced deliver missions the best ive seen so fat are 500 and that caosts me a 1500 cr ticket to do.
and believe me if someone gets enough ppl saying psst dont trust so and so those ppl will believe there friend who told them not to trust you.
so apap members i suggest if someone on your server is selling houses at a grief level to our class tell your friends to tell there friends the grief crafters name and that he renames his harvester deeds into house deeds. and put in a ratio like 1 out of 3 times that way rumors spread and you grief the griefers.lets face it who wants to take a chance that they spend 5k on a harvester and be the 1 out of 3 person.
if this pisses off those of you who are slash throats good you piss us off and take some grief back.
I would like to quote myself, ahem:
I just looked up how many resources it took to make a small house: 3344. How can you justify charging 5.9 credits per resource?
The cost on the harvesters is not 5.9 credits per resource. Your skill in building a house is not worth that. These aren't even hard to find resources. Any resources that fit the requirement will work. Sure, some may be hard to find ATM but not enough to charge 5.9 credits per resource. That sounds like a rip off to me.
It's not "throat-cutting" as you like to call it.It's business. I can afford to sell my houses at only3 credits per resource. I'm sorry you can't afford it. I'm still making a profit. Sorry you can't.
You want try and slander me? Go ahead.Bring it on. Because after it get's out that my houses are finetheyjust cost less money then you willlook silly.

There are no LAWS about collusion or slander in this game. From a morality point of view I can see where
people may be against sepreading untruths about people. But I do not see how price fixing is not moral.
Lets keep in mind all of the resources it takes to make houses and how much it hurts when they fail
and you loose them all!
Let's step back and look at the free masons. There is a colluding bunch of architects from way back...
It is tradition!
On an up note, so far, it looks like Valcyn's building prices are shaping up pretty decently.I only hope it continues.
Comparing APAP to Communism is a bit extreme. Merchant unions set prices all the time. One example would be the fishing market along the north Atlantic coastline. The everyday fisherman gets swallowed up thanks to the larger boatsdominating the market and undercutting him out of his business. I'm all for the APAP.
Go Lstinspc are you people communists we live in a free market economy people can charge whatever they want why do you think it costs you .99 cents to buy a hamburger at mcdonalds and a 5.00 hamburger at a casual dining resturant (crap im starting to sound like the guy on the KFC commecials) its a free market economy if you can make and sell stuff and still make a profit you are a successful buisnessman/woman
and 25k for a small house are you guys kidding, at most a person would buy a house for 15k but 20-25k
thats insane, the only way i would that much for a house was if the proceeds went to charity lol like those crappy candy bars schools sell for a doller when a good candy bar is like 50 cents
