you need to master a total of 5 professions to be a jedi. holocrons will tell you 4 of those professions and then u must master random ones untill you pick the 5th. no one know's how to pick the 5th profession, bottom line is , if you want to be a jedi get 5 holo's and grind them out untill u get the holo that is silent. then master random ones and hope you don't get dumped in the "20+ club" LOL.

Here is an easy three-step programto getting your first Holocron:

Holocrons are cubes that give you hints as to how to unlock your force sensitive slot (your jedi character slot). To unlock this slot you must master 5 certain professions (unknown to you), determined at character creation.

The holocrons will tell you the first four, the fifth one remains random- for example, my christmas holocron said "to continue on your journey you must master squad leader",(yes yes, I know)or words to that effect ... once I used it, it vanished.

If you get more than one, don't use the second one until you've mastered the first profession, otherwise it will just tell you what you already know and you've blown a very expensive item.

You can get them either by buying them (half a million credits more or less usually) or by looting them, I'm not sure which targets drop them, I believe people have said rebel surface marshalls do, and dark troopers also do, but I've never looted one myself.

tells you what path to take to work on unlocking your force sensitive slot.. read a holo, it tells you a profession to master, or to continue to master what your currently working on.

Little tip: If you dont really NEED to be a jedi, sell it.

Currently the Prize varys between 100k and 500k because at christmas they gave 2 holocrons to all veteran chars. Wait a month or two, and the prizes WILL raise to the old level of several million. I heard of a holocron being sold for 4 million credits.

where can you get one

I have heard, though it hasn't happened to me yet so I can not verify this, that Surface Marshals sometimes drop holocrons as loot.

I saw 2 go for 265k not too long ago on Starsider.

They used to drop off force sensitives and dark troopers. The force sensitive cave on Dantooine and the Imperial base on Naboo were the two main places I heard about. I haven't heard of anyone doing that or looting one in a long time though.

Yeah Rebel Surface Marshals if you are an Imp. I don't know if holocrons are even still dropping.
