Thread: Week Three List of 5
and
Re-Balance House/PA Lots – Many players have been requesting that the amount of lots houses and PA halls use be reduced. Currently all small houses, with the exception of the small naboo style 2, use two lots. Mediums houses use two lots as well, not sure if this is a bug, and Large houses consume 6 lots. PA halls, with the exception of the Tatooine hall, use up 9 lots.
Are not something that should be addressed in a Architechs list. These are general game mechanics and architechs have no direct influence on either of them.
Once again, please stop listing things that arent in teh realm of actual architecure.
But the rest of the list is good.
E-Mail Notification – Add a Structure setting that allows players to receive e-mail notification when a structure is out of credits, power or if it stops running. A set of options would allow players to determine what constitutes an e-mail notification. This would give players some warning if/when a structure stops because of a power loss or begins to decay from lack of funds. This could also be useful if a player forgets where they placed their structure.
2 out of 5 architech related items isnt bad, your getting better.
Looking much better. ![]()
Not sure what you are going to come up with for next week though.
As far as not addressing the issues that don't effect Architects only... Who is going to if we don't.
You think the Pistoleers are gonna say you know I have absolutely no use for a house but I would like to see the storage increased anyways.
These are important issues and they pertain to Architects more than any other class. Why buy a large house the small has same storage. Why harvest resources when your a combat class.
Yes I understand these issues effect others as well, but Surely you can see how getting them addressed can help the Architect more than most other classes.
I know I will get flamed and yelled at for no reason other than pointing out the validity in suggesting these changes under the Architect list, but it would seem that is inevitable whenso many seems to read responses that agree as praise and responses that disagree as comtempt.
Lets get the ARCHITECH bugs knocked out first before we start worrying about regular game mechanics.
no flame, just some people dont want to accept this and would rather have a bunch of fluff added before actual architech influenced mechanics get worked on.

I look forward to seeing what feedback we get from the Devs. I'm in this for the long haul and even though not all of my issues have been sent yet, I am in this for the long haul and can be patient while other issues which are just as valid for the profession are tended to first.
I agree on the lots part.. im the PA leader as well, and i placed the deed.. it was shocked to find that i needed 7 lots.. how am i surviving now? well lucky me.. i got alot of nice members.. but loosing out 7 lots is more than just a bit...
On the storage part i agree too, with a twist.. Experimental structure storage... that is another thing that must be implemented to help give more value to MASTER made stuff...
Experimentation is THÉ thing for us...
Good group of posts.
An option. Everyone wants the quality use in the architect tree. What if the quality of an item modified the maintenance fees? Everyone knows that a better constructed item requires less to maintain it. Why not use this factor in adding a Master Architect impact to a project?
I do not want to flame our represenitive to SOE.
However I do want to ask why are we putting all this energy into dream lists when basic things, like making a harvesting mechinism are broken? I do not envy the job of a rep, but SOE needs reminded every day that some of these things are broken and need fixed.
When you create your next list how about putting on the top of it something like fix the harvesting mechanism. This should be done easy, but I am guessing SOE is not even listening to Zarcath or any of us. Seems like they got their money from us and went on vacation.
I mean so what if a medium mineral costs 3 structurals and a medium chem is 3 walls. Did anyone think this might be intended? Perhaps the extra requirements of storing chemicals or gas increases the construction cost. Just because it is medium size -insert harvester here- does not mean they all have to cost the same.
I personally like the variety.
Hi all,
I have a Master Architect on Kauri server and just wanted to add a few ideas/comments to this boiling pot:
1) Inregards to the "Not exculsively and architect problem", while storage in a structure effects all users who own and maintain the houses in game. It is the architech who has the experimentaion option to increase this storage. As such, it should be added to the architech list, at some point. It should also go into the general game feedback for all users, so SOE and the people making the decision understand that we want to offer it as an architect, and other userswant that option to be offered by us. Personally there are other issues I would like to see addressed first, but I'll take any change they are willing to offer me.
2) The harvester mechinism, this poor device has not worked since beta, has yet to be addressed ( I know we are asked not to mention this here) and yet, the other proffession who want/need this device have been able to survive. Is it fair to ask them to, no. However again, there are larger issues to deal with.
3) Lots used by each structure, this is a good point, PA Halls should not require lots and other lot requirements should be reviewed, but again this is a point best made else where. Is a good idea though to let SOE know we care about it as well. Since we as architechs have no control over this "Cost" it is not our field to worry about unless they plan to allow us to modify this stat with our experimentation. (is one of the few "not our problem" issues I agree with)
4) Zarcath is NOT an employee of SOE, Lucas or any other orginization (Unless they are in stealth mode and not telling anyone). We should not take our anger out on them. They were asked/volunteered for a position as the vict... I mean the position to represent us, the users and our concerns and issues. Does this put them in the firing line, yes. However they are not paid for this service and insulting them or yelling at them does nothing but take time and energy from the real issues they are trying to resolve.
I agree some of the isssues proposed are more in lines with a general list of customer concerns, however if they can "fix" any of the problems, I don't care whos problems, the game becomes more enjoyable for us all. You don't like the way a class is, then do something else for awhile, there is the ability to respec your skills at anytime you like. I for one like the class, it is at once the most enjoyable and annoying class in the game. Sure I can't produce everything I want, but guess what... what happens when vehicals are released, or player cities.. they've already said a new class, city planner, will be introduced for player city structures.. any bets on vehical designer when those are released as well? We will all have to figure out what parts we like, what parts we don't and run from there.
Make useful suggestions, or atleast show why you don't agree with something being added to the feedback list. I liked the idea some had posted in one of the forums, sorry I don't remember which, about removing the furniture path from architect and making another class just for interior design, then they could introduce other structures such as a garage, an actual workshop and other types of structures.
Anyways (burns the soapbox) Lets keep it civil, have some fun, and storm SOE's customer service group! Muahahaha!
