Thread: Why do so many quit Architech?
Architect is so easy to advance in that organizated groups of players will powerdrive someone into it to serve their needs. The following example may be real or not. I won't mention any names and I'm speculating to some extent on the motiviations. This is a "hypothetical" example.
There's a PA that wants a PA hall and to build a community but they don't want to make it as cheap as they can. They decide on someone to become the Architect of this community and that person sets to building harvesters for everyone in the PA to getlarge quantities of materials. They use these materials to make harvesters until everyone has the largest variety.
Now they have huge quantities of materials. The Architect now grinds out houses and gives them to the PA members or to people they want to recruit. Before you know it the Architect is a Master and they build their PA hall and they have a town of structures and a fleet of harvesters. Now they have the materials to grind out any type of Master they desire.
They got an entire town and industrial infastructure at cost. The damage is done. The architect could now sell the products or master a different trade. When it comes to Urban Planner know that this model will continue to be used.
This example is not a judgement about the practice. It is just an observation

#1 yes I do have Efficiency 4 ( in fact I’m working on Master Merchant right now ), and yes that helps.
#2 Im not really that cheap, I just defend those that do sell cheap, I sell for around 2.8 - 3.5 CPU right now but am prepared to compete at a lower price when I need too. So far I don’t need too.
The reason I have the rep for selling outrageously cheap is because I defend people that do sell cheap and I am totally against anything the takes away from the free market economy in SWG. Price fixing schemes are bad, every single one of them.
