1) Ability for everyone to move objects up and down with a simple command in their house, so that people can place things on tables, or have some crazy setup with chairs on the ceiling.

2) Lamps should provide lighting. I have two already, and would like it if they would light up my room, and they should have a command to turn the light on and off.

3) Furniture should be able to have color changes, like couches with different color fabrics etc.

4) New furniture, or if the Urban Planner is now being integrated into Architect, just make the new structures available to players, for example I would like to have a bank inside my house, which would really help. Or maybe a bazaar terminal. Or a garage for my mounts.

5) Let players place their Structure Management terminal anywhere in the house they want. In most cases it sticks out like a sore thumb, and would better serve the player in a more descreet place, and would improve the overall furnishings of the household.

1. - Up/down, you know the drill there.

2. - Customizable furniture, umm anything is better than nothing.

3. - Those bastards with the PA Hall at QAVille on test center have all the different plants andeven arug. We get well, :smileysad All the plants in the game and rugs/paintings please.

4. - Crafting station schematic does not take droid storage units from crates, you need to pull them.

5. - Make pulling an item from a crate default, rather than splitting a crate defualt. I never even had the need to split a crate, not that this is a bad issue, just double clicking to get an item from a crate was very UI friendly.

1. - Decoration, Decoration, Decoration: I want that beautiful waterfall pic hanging in the Theed starport. I even want the bothan overlooking the plains. I am sick of staring at that same old tree picture. Rugs, pictures, tapestries, just general decoration. I'd make do with a picture of chubas playing poker at this point. To expand on this further, maybe even allow players to have some say in which screenshots get made into pics. Sure it'd be way down the line, but it'd be really cool.

Customizing furniture (this goes with decoration): I could honestly care less if my medium mineral is a rate of 4 or 6. I *would* however like to change that Divan to something a little less god-awfully purple... And although that Couch is kinda cool looking, that orange is so loud I have trouble hearing my harvesters running...

2. - Up/Down: Well defined as being way too time consuming, as well as being elitest to only staircase homes.

3. - Critical failures: losing 8 structural modules in a row hurts, but I can deal. Failing that Large Naboo House is enough to make a grown man cry. A PA Hall I think I'd cry like a little girl. Make crits reduce commensurate with raw resource quantity. 37k+ resources reduce it to 2% or less.

4. - Storage: I am fine with 75 items per lots, but make it follow through, not cap at 250. Heck, reduce it to 50 if necessary. Even with all 250 items dedicated to furniture, my large naboo house looks like a ghost town. I understand there are database issues with giving us more space. I am not recommending we Swiggy the servers (that was the wookie's name, right? that brought Bria down in beta?). But throw us some kind of bone. Some of us are obsessive compulsive and literally lose sleep over thatspace, cuz... well... it just NEEDS something... *nervous twitch kicks in*... A couch... a tree.. and engraved pen set... SOMETHING

5. - Saved for last cause it's the longest =P - Lots: Make the Naboo styletwo 2 lots and the structure factory 1 lot. Or make all small houses one lot and the mediums 2 or 3. The jump from 2 to 6 to 9 is a bit excessive. 1, 3, 5, 8 is a bit more realistic. Plus it gives more reasons than looks to buy a medium. (Read more storage space)

Recognize that we take a vastly larger amount of resources to do what we do, give us a few more lots. Some of actually chose this as a main profession. I took merchant as well so I can actually effectively sell stuff. To do that I have sacrificed all combat save the ability to defend my home from the occasional pack of Borvo's mercs. As such a large portion of the game is severed from me. I am all but useless to the GCW in a PvP capacity. Give us some props for this, would it be all that terrible to give us an extra 2 lots for more harvesters? Or even 5? Yes, 5 would give us the ability to have a PA hall and a smallish harvester farm. Or one really big harvester farm.

Given the amazing rate at which we can consume resources, do you really feel this would be all that game breaking? Sure some people would use it for evil to make themselves filthy rich. Most of them already got there from previous exploits. Those that didn't have plenty of other ways to get obscenely rich just as fast. A few more lots means small-time casual me gets to craft AND make money at the same time. For Peter Power Gamer it just means his 3rd account gets a large house instead of a Naboo type 1.

After an incredibly frustrating week of play which nearly caused me to quit the game, I found this thread and I'm glad to have a place to make my suggestions. I hope the devs really are listening. I know all professions are suffering their own particular woes at this time, and I know that there's a lot of work to be done...but even a bone now and then would go a heck of a long way toward soothing a lot of ill feelings.

I see no way I can limit myself to five issues, since there are vastly more than five immediate issues that should and need to be addressed. So here are my issues, and with the exception of the first issue, they are in no order of importance. If i could, I'd list them all as "number two." So there you go. I know there's a lot here, but there's a lot of issues that need to be fixed. Choosing just five, for me, is impossible, especially considering the aggravation I've felt over the game for the past week or two.

To commence with my suggestions:

1. Morale. Definitely the number one issue. Find a way to cut the incredibly boring grind and make the architect profession more fun.
2. Either lower the completely insane quantities of ore needed or raise the quantity of resources that can be found. The way it stands now, ore is a rare commodity and architects who have to buy it are being robbed blind.
3. Give architects more lots. Considering the blinding amount of ore we need, as well as metal and other resources, we should have more lots available to us. Ten lots simply is insufficient. Period. In fact, I have 15 lots...a friend who plays on another server lets me and my roommate use his lots on Bria...and I *still* dont have enough resources. I'd say a lot increase of a minimum of five lots once someone hits novice architect, and maybe when you hit master architect you can get another five. Twenty lots for the amount of ore and other materials required by a master artisan with a large house and probably another house alongside it for extra storage may sound like a lot, but in fact for a busy architect, it still wouldn't be enough. In fact, i think that all master professions in the crafting line shoudl be granted an extra five lots, because master crafters require a lot of resources and should be granted the extra lots to make up for that. The way it's set up now is an exercise in futility. I feel like Alice with the Red Queen...I'm running twice as fast as I can just to stay in the same place.
4. Reduce the structure factory to one lot instead of two. What the heck is the deal there, anyway? The profession that needs the most resources has the least number of useable lots?
5. Adjust the storage capacities of the houses, please. Medium house should hold more than a small house.
6. Customization. Across the board. Can I please know who in the name of the gods thought that it would be a great idea if all houses and furniture were particularly hideous shades of red, beige, gray and orange, with the occasional weird purple or green thrown in just to make things a little more nauseating? I'd like to have the options to colour furniture as well as change the interior colours of the houses we build. Please.
7. These have been mentioned, but regardless, they bear mentioning over and over again. Storage furniture like chests and armoires, etc., should be able to be used for storage. WITHOUT counting against the storage capacity of the house overall. It will give some usefulness not only to the furniture item but it will go a long way toward solving the increased storage capacity so sorely needed by a lot of artisans. And, of course, lamps should provide light.
8. It would be really nice if we could lie down on the beds and lounge on the loveseats, especailly the swoopy one, and the divan.
9. Up/down commands to place items on walls and tables. I would like to see a desk lamp actually be able to be placed on a desk or table. Wouldnt that be unique? I'd also like to be able to hang things on the wall without having to do a tango.
10. Can we fix the ballot box so that a) voting works and b) you can actually pick the thing up?
11. We need a vast increase in the styles and types of furniture and plants available. Why are all the plants available now listed as "style one" if we dont get any more than one style? I would love access to the diverse number of potted plants and trees, artwork, furniture, draperies, rugs, wall hangings, and other items I see in game, please. And it'd be even better if we could change the colours of the bedspreads and divans.
12. What is the use of a vein of ore if it is constantly located in areas where harvesters cannot be placed? If there is no way to control the fact that the best ore (and other resources) appears inside city limits, in the depths of a swamp, or in the mountains, then please fix the placement potential of the harvesters. It is incredibly annoying to run 2200 meters only to find you can't place your heavy harvester becuase there's a barely noticeable slope to the landscape or a little ripple in the ground. Improve harvester placement.
13. I would like to see the maintenance paid into the harvesters to enable them to be picked up appear when they are placed again. I already have no money. It really hurts to find your ore spot has dried up, have to pay out of pocket to buy more ore...and be price gouged since ore is so scarce...and then on top of that have to pay out thousands adn thousands of credits to pick up and move your harvesters and THEN have to re-pay all those thousands of credits AGAIN just to get them running. If i put 3k credits into that medium harvester to pick it up, then let it be loaded with 3k credits when I put it back down. Give me a break here. I have no money, no resources, no harvesters. Why bother being an architect?
14. GCW participation. Others have had some great ideas here: give architects a "combat structures" line. Give us the ability to create bunkers, small turrets, etc., etc. Give us a place in the war. We have to give up almost all combat ability just to get to master and have enough of the merchant line to sell our products. At least let us be useful to our chosen faction by being able to provide necessary structures for combat and protection.
15. Placement of items on balconies, porches, terraces. I'd like to put some plants in front of my front door. I'd like to put a couple of chairs and a small table on my balcony. Why can't I?
16. Make the status menu come up whenever anyone on the admin lists of installations or structures double-clicks the structure, and make maintenance payment of credits and power accessible from ONE MENU. Having to click adn click and click and click and click a dozen times to maintain one structure or harvester is a complete waste of time, and frustrating.
17. Experimentation. Lose it. It's a nightmare.
18. Fix the crating issues for factories.
19. CF on any structure from medium houses/installations and up should be Constitutionally banned.
20. I like the idea of some decay implementation but the way it's been discussed scares the pants off of me. I also really like the idea that's been tossed around about giving the architect some kind of "repair" skill, which can be used in combination with some form of structure or item decay, so that the architect can have a steady income from maintenance and repair work. I'd like to also see architects have an ability to makeover pieces of furniture, or redecorate a house...say the person doens't like the purple interior in the house they requested, or is tired of the colour; the architect, for a fee, and depending on skill level, could change the interior colour scheme of a home.
21. I'd like to be able to see out of my windows.

I have more, but these are the ones that are really just right off the top of my head. I didnt have to even think about it before just typing all these out.

More than anything, I appreciate the opportunity to list my suggestions and I appreciate that the devs are doing what they can and are listening to us in the meantime. I really look forward to the day when I can sign in to play and not feel the way I've been feeling the past few days...ready to give up. For now, I'll just take a breather from the game, pay the daily maintenance for my harvesters, sell a few walls to make my maintenance payments, and wait for my frustration to die down. And of course, I give a hearty round of applause to our architect correspondent, who is really hitting the issues and keeping up the call for more information. Thank you.

Keeping my fingers crossed that better days are coming!

Ok, leaving off the current list, and the items from the wishlist (most of which are more important to me than what is listed below), here are some of the most important items:

1) Being able to remove maintenancecredits and power from structures. I believe this was actually promised to us, or at least hinted at, a long time ago, but it was only applied to vendors.

2) More furniture schematics at all levels of the furniture branch. There are plenty of models already in the game, so it wouldn't require new artwork, just make them craftable.

1. NOT ENOUGH FURNITURE / DECORATIONS

Really, look around, you'll see there is alot more furniture in the game than is available to Architechs. Plus, other types of house plants are found a-plenty in many other estblishments, so why is it that Architechs can make only three different types? Let them make the other kinds that you can find in other places in city buildings. Decorations is another huge thing missing. People have gotten very creative, but still it would be nice to be able to have more to work with.

2. Severity of Critical Failures

Furniture is one thing, but when it comes to some of the larger structures, critical failures are crippling to most architechs. They should be a rare occurance, if they should happen at all, which, considering the cost of construction, it would not be outrageous if it didn't. Real life architechs can't possibly afford to have anything close to a critical failure, at risk of their entire reputation. It would be natural that this would be the same for SWG architechs.

3. No furniture customization.

This is similar to 1, but the fact that furniture cannot be customized like clothing can be is rediculous. I never use certain types of furniture because of their hideous default colors. Even adding the option of new colors would give a little more room for variation...a little.

4. Lack of Variation

This one would be hard to remedy, but it is still annoying. Having so many houses looking the exact same is rather annoying and boring. It would be nice if there was some sort of system implemented where higher skilled architechs could create modular houses that fit different pieces together to create more options. There would still be a finite number of cominations, but it would concievably offer much more variation.

5. Little Return Business

If a responsible person buys one of your homes / factories / furniture / harvesters, and is satisfied, you'll probably never hear from that person again. It would be a good thing if you could implement some sort of system so that people would have to buy a certain component to keep their house / harvester running. It could be a money sink and also allow architechs a way to keep people coming back. Although it could be looked negatively upon by the rest of players.

Issue # 1 Why does ore, and maybe solar energy, spawn the way it does. Its horrible that a vein takes so long to develop. And I have never seen it regularly above 65%. This is the stuff we need 20k of on average. Can we get it to spawn more like steel, or hey Fiberplast. 95% concentrations every 800 meters.

Issue # 2 Architects should get lot bonuses. 4 extra lots at master or at leastsomething that gives us our factory or house lots free. I am sure its been said but didn't see it on that list. we need more lots because we need so many resources.

That is all I could think of. just to tired.

here are a few ideas

1. fix structure placement, tell us why we can't place a structure here, give us a better way to know where we can place structures

2. a /move up|down command, or better furniture movement tools for architects

3. ability to change color of furniture (like tailors)

4. give architects more lots, like droid engineers havemore droid slots

5. more furniture

  1. I would like to see out of the windows on houses

  2. I would like to place furniture on balconies and entryways (I want a patio set for my lg Naboo house balcony)

  3. Terrain restrictions are too strict. Slight grading should not prevent harvester placement.

  4. Up/down movement commands, please!

  5. More furniture that provides lighting. I don't want torches in my house.

I'm sorry if these have already been addressed. I just think the architecture aspect of this game is really cool and was compelled to add my thoughts when I saw this post.

For those who didn't check out the original thread on issues here they are:

______________________________________________________________________________________
- Structure Assembly at +55 (we want it upped to +100) to assist with critical fails
Request sent to devs (fixed on TC in last patch)

- Structure Experimentation is useless
Determining if we want to keep it or remove it all together (adressed with last patch)

- Structure Experimentation at +55 (we want it upped to +100)
See above (fixed on TC in last patch)

- Construction Tree useless
Report from Urban Planner Chat with SOE - UP Structures MAY be included in this tree (the UP structures are in the construction tree)

- Furniture artwork fixes (ex: Master Armoir same as Armoir II)
Anything else other than those Armoires and the Tables at master? (still an issue I think)

- Lights need to light (still an issue I think)

- Crafting stationsshould use Structure Experimentationpoints instead of Artisan
Fixing this immediately might not be such a good idea considering the Structure Experimentation is broken for now (no comment)

- Factories can't get certain components out of crates when producing certain objects
The devs seem to be aware that this issue is fixed, but might not know about the brick/wall issue (no idea)______________________________________________________________________________________

That now having been said, the top issues (the ones you have allowed for) as I see it are as follows:

1. Ability to elevate items in houses without stairs

2. Customizable furniture (even 5 colors to choose from would be nice)

3. Lack of furniture variety and decorative items (I see lots of nice items on adventure planets, so the art work is there - why can't we make them?)

4. Structure factory takes 2 lots, others take 1 (cut us some slack!)

5. Inconsistence in wall / structure module use in harvesters (if intended just tell us and we'll drop it)

Other than that the re-newable revenue andcritical failures issues really have a higher priority in my mind but I know those are likely longer term issues to be resolved. The above issues can be solved within the current mechanics of the game.

give DE's a droid that works as a module for harvesters. this will help me more than touching architect as it stands.

you can link a droid to lets say 5 harvesters or that number can be experimented on. through him you can put power and maintenance. check the extraction rates if any changes. basically do everything but to and retrieve from harvester.

I have a couple oddities. They may not be "issues", but they're ideas, or things that annoy me mildly...

1. If we're talking about improving structure placement, how about making placing a house not so intrusive to the environment around it? More than once I've found a perfect little wooded hollow in which to place my house, but in placing the house, all the trees that attracted me to the area in the first place went away! How about allowing more trees and rocks to remain around a structure? I don't know how possible this is, but maybe someone could look at it.

2. Rugs. I'm sure this was mentioned somewhere else, but it bears repeating. I want rugs.

3. Furniture on patios. Many houses have wonderful terraces, patios, and other viewing areas on their roofs. How about furniture for them? Even if it's just a couple special schematics (to decrease load when the edifice comes into view), or even if you can't see them from outside the house, I'd like to be able to sit on my balcony in an actual chair.

That's it for the moment from me...
