From what I understand about skill tapes, +10 to "Food Assembly" helps you on the initial creation of the food, meaning that your result is more likely to be a 'great' or 'amazing' sucess before experimentation. I don't think it improves experimentation results at all. Still a useful thing to have, if you ask me

I tried that, and to the right of experiment points which was 10, was something covered by the frame I could not read. I still had only 10 experiment points when i made something.

You need +10 in tapes to get an additional experimentation point.

Two comments:

1. In the Cntl-S screen, hover your mouse over the skill mod you are interested in. Even though the display gives you the "...", the popup on hover will display the whole number.

2. What he said - you need to gain +10 points to get another *1* experiment point.

I have a Structure Complexity +4 tape. I have been using it for some time now and I can't find any definable bonus to having it. It doesn't matter much any longer since the shirt I had it in is -654 condition now. Will a tape continue to work on a garment that has been functionally destroyed?

As previously stated, you need +10 to notice a difference. With +10, you will get one more experimentation point to spend.

Hi, I've heard that skill tapes with multiple bonuses on only give the highest one when you put them into a bit of clothing.


I was just wondering what happens if you have a tape with 2 mods, but they are both the same? I have a +3 Droid Customisation / +3 Weapon Experimentation. Which am I going to get?

The game will pick one, you don't have a choice. And it's usually the one you don't want. Hopefully they will fix this soon.

ive tested this a few times, and unfotunatly its always the first if both values are the same.


Theres no way to get at the second skill, and CSR's cant do anything to help either, they apparently dont have either the skills or permission to go changing/creating skill tapes or items.

Well one way round this of course it to get your hands an a single +3 Droidy one put that in 1st. When you put the +3/+3 in the second one will come out, in this cas +3 Wep Exp.


This also works when the 1st is a higher value, for example +4 walking and a +2 Gold dust skill. You would need another +4 walking in the clothing/armour already to get the +2 Gold dust to come out. (These skills are fictitious to protect the innocent)
