I have been both for a while, but have been planning on dropping Master Artisan for a while. I have been stockpiling good components for crafting stations in the meantime

I am a Master Artisan. I practically have to, actually. I have to keep the Eng line for Architect, I have to keep the DA line for Chef, and I have to keep the Business line for Merchant, so I might as well keep survey too and be able to make my own MA components.

I'm a novice Architect looking towards the future and noticed that the higher-end items all need various sub-components made by Master Artisans. I was wondering how many Architects out there are Master Artisans also, or if you just find a Master Artisans to make crates of those components for them?

i train Master artisan as needed...i just make several schematics and then drop it..i have been master artisan like 3X now. it isnt worth holding onto and once you have the schematics the 6 points can be better used else where

the problem i have with buying items is that they dont or havent listed stats. that doesnt matter for such items as a powercore but when you are making crafting stations it is really important. i want to control the quality. so if i dont have the schematics on hand, i will supply the resources if i can find a good master artisan and get the schematic from him. many are just snotty noobs who think they have actually mastered some profession and dont really have any clue about what ingrediants they should be using.

the other problem is availability...you cant always find what you need when you need it.

then they want to charge you an arm and a leg for something that i can run 100s of just using scrap metals from other factory runs

if you dont intend to build a lot of crafting stations, then i wouldnt bother training it

I was until a couple days ago... dropped Master Artisan for the skill points, all hail the Quest for the FSCS. I'll get it back at some point.

I am both. Had a hard time finding a Master Artisan to buy the subcomponents from, so I added it quite a long time after mastering Architect.
