They've done this already by giving shipwrights the ability to craft every ship in game. Rebels making Imperial ships and vice versa? ROFL
Ships are faction specific and while not part of the GCW, the GCW is all about faction.
In JTL they thought it best to put out another "faction" called Privateer. Why is there not a same faction like that on the ground?
Its not about giving people special privaledges, its about making things right.
Bottom line is they need a third faction, so that all this can be incorporated into the new GCW changes. While most everyone see's the rebels and the imperials in Star Wars fiction, that is not what Star Wars Galaxies is about.

Well a real simple way to get crafters more faction by doing what they do is reverse the faction for XP training you get. How about instead, by investing some of your experiences (which would be used for training and such) you get faction for turning in Crafting xp.
