Yeah I don't think those harvesters can be convinced very easily to quit supplying lol. Now if they were attackable we could just hire a militia to take them out hehe. I don't know if it will work but I think it would be cool if we could get it to work.

Hey, now there's an idea for a renewable source of income. Make harvesters that are owned by someone with a faction attackable by other faction people.

It would be pretty funny if suddenly a BH shows up with a message from the Boss about Guild Halls.
I can just imagine it, "Yo, the boss has a problem with your prices, get what i'm sayin?"

Or *shudder* send a message to the architect by making a mess of their shop! Put their ore in with their chemicals, strew the chunks of aluminum all over the shop, spraypaint on the crafting station.

Rofl....yes we could mix the ore with the lubricating oil....and make some scary acids and poisons and stuff. Blow the circuits in their crafting station after spray painting it....this could actually be some fun....

I come back to the architect board after a 5 month hiatus and wonder how many of these "let's agree on standard pricing" threads I've missed. Probably 2-3.
* Pricing is only part of your business model.
* You need to decide: how much volume am I interested in doing (because you need to scale your resource acquistion and production to reflect that choice)?
* How will I sell? (vendors in a shop, custom orders, etc)
* Will I do this alone or will I have partners?
* Will I specialize in specific products?
* Why will people buy from me? (low prices, fully stocked vendors, extra consulting)
Everyone has a different business model. Everyone has a different definition of "fun". Some people want to amass large fortunes in the game. Others want to be well-known and/or well-respected. Others want to try new things. Their business models (explicit or implicit) reflect those goals.
When I had my shop on Wanderhome I was one of the higher priced architects there. But I had a good location and people knew that they could always find what they were looking for on my vendor. I had lots of repeat business and word-of-mouth advertising. That was what was fun for me. Other architects had different models, and presumably they were happy and had fun also.
Focus on what *you* want to do. (*generic* "you" here) If you want to blame that guy down the street for your lack of business, then by all means, blame them. I haven't seen that being a formula for success before, but maybe you'll be the first.
