How about once a guild hall has a guild to go along with it, the lots were either freed up completely or could be delegated amongst guild members / admins. This would prevent everyone from getting a lot-free mansion for themselves. If the guild was disbanded, the lots would revert to the "owner" of the structure. If they don't have enough free, it begins to decay until it's re-deeded or destroyed. A structure decaying in this manner should begin immediate and irreversible decay such that you could only add enough maintenance to recover the deed. Each guild should only be able to do this for one guild hall, too. That would prevent guilds from scattering outposts all over the galaxy.

I agree, it is hard enough to manage with 2 slots going to house witch we need to store our resources and crafting stations...then 2 for structure factory and 2 for items factory, That means we are only left with four slots for harvesters...NOT FAIR!!!

I agree ... either give the architect freelots or give us more lots.

When forced to buy for a minimum of 3cpu and folks barking about paying more than 3cpu for an item, well, how does one profit. By harvesting their own resources, that is how. I found myself with 4 (four) carbonate ore the other day and could not create a harvester because of it. Why? Because it's drop rate has decreased ... because the only good volume is placed too close to towns OR in an area you can't put a harvester (yellow ground, black lines) ... whatever the reason, the ore market is down and I'm sorry but I am not paying 3 cpu for ore that is so bad you don't even want to make structure modules with it LOL

This suggestion has already been brought to the devs.

So what have they said about it?

I imagine nothing as of yet...better to string us along with no answer than to give us one we may not want to hear. Honestly, I do not see Architects getting extra lots. I would think that reducing the Structure Factory to one lot would be reasonable.

Some ideas on work arounds....mostly others ideas, or just common sense:

  1. Share lots.

  2. Get a second acct.

  3. For those that own a PA Hall...transfer it to one of the combat classes in your guild...or a Merchant.

  4. For those that own a PA Hall as a house...dont complain about lack of lots...its your choice to live in that monster.

  5. Trade lots across servers.

  6. Hire a miner on an exclusive basis, or at least get a set deal going with one.

  7. Buy your resources off the server boards...can get some good deals that way sometimes.

  8. Buy your resources off the bazaar...also some occassional good deals.

  9. Anything else (legal and within the rules) that allows you to gather the resources you need to make the products you want to make.

Personally, I use 1, 2, 3, 7, and 8. The CH/Smuggler friend that pestered me about getting MArch to make a PA Hall is the one I made drop it...use his lots, not mine. I scan the server boards once or twice a day for deals (also skill tapes). I also check the bazaar (galaxy-wide) a couple times each day. I just started my 2nd acct, so I could drop storage sheds (med naboo houses) and put 3 crafters worth of factories on that one, with another person running two accts for same reason. Five accts for 3 people, all 3 running a master crafter, 2 of us with mules. My mule has zero xp in anything. The other mule is actually the Master WS...created to make Commando weapons for his main.

ironic that a master architect is forced to live in the smallest house in the game.

It is a bit rediculous I must agree that I make large houses, PA halls and the like, yet I am stuck in my small round naboo house cause I cant afford to give up the lots. I would get a larger house and transfer it to someone, but then I cannot declare residency....

either we get a free "house" lot or increase the amount of lots a master architect can have.

Give us +1 lots at construction 2, 4 and Master.

It's hard to interact with others in lot exchanges. I asked an in-game friend to place a large house for me and as soon as we got inside she's putting fish on the wall and torches in the air and .. bleh.

I don't want to trade dynamic (ie: harvesting) lots interserver. I don't want to have to log on every few days to another server, move the harvs, rinse repeat. So we're stuck with static lots for storage and vendors. What happens if I do a interserver lot trade and trader 2 gets fed up withthe game and deletes his character? That scenario is applicable to intraserver lot leasing. What if my intranserver "friend" removes the house and sells the deed? Or less bad, she takes the millions of credits worth of crates and resources. Not that I don't trust her, just that, well.. who knows what could happen?

I'm not in a PA because I like my independence, maybe there's no choice. Iwill try to hire miners but I suspect there's not a lot of interest (we need a mining profession?).

I'm prepared to be successful with 10 lots only. I have to use droids, backpack and the bank for storage, I don't care. It just sucks, I wish I could have 13 or 14 lots. 2 lots for storage/workshop, 2 lots for structure factory, sometimes 1 lotfor equipment factory (you try making power core units without one) - leaving 5/6 for resources, mining ore that's never concentrated over 60-something%. That's right, a transient millionaire architect with ashack for a storefront.Mm-hm. /sigh

but wouldn't a large majority of the people still optfor a small house and use the extra lots for harvesting? even if you give them +20 lotsi bet most people would still use their lots for harvesters instead of a large house.

It's simply not logical to judge the lot limit as "one size fits all". It seems like a no-brainer to me that an Architect and an Entertainer (for example) cannot have the same lot limit. And beyond that, it's downright silly to see Master Architects living in small houses.
