Thread: Factory XP
Are factories currently giving out any XP at all? Any special requirements (online, close to the factory, etc.)?
Thanks,

Can't comment on the UXP as I'm maxed and have been. But I know for a fact that factories give 0 XP and haven't for as long as I can remember. Sometime back in month one or two they stopped when the devs were fixing all kinds of other factory problems. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they'd speed them up a lot.

UXP has nothing to do with factories, it has to do with other characters Using your stuff. That does seem to be happening at least to some extent, but I haven't really tested it recently.
While technically correct, I believe there was UXP associated with using subs in a final combine. Such as you got UXP from using a BEC in a Stim schematic, but I think they fixed that pretty early as people were getting XP for making the item, then UXP for using their own BEC in a stim or wound kit. I don't believe it ever worked for factory runs however. I believe that no factory run of anything gives UXP, but not 100% sure on this.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh... factories DOESN'T create stuff that other people can use. Thanks for "clarifying" it.
Have you declared your residence in your factory? Just using it as a storage facillity?
No, no. Sure factories create the stuff, but the factory does not give any UXP.
UXP comes from other folks using things you create, whether they were made in a factory or just using your tool to make a proptotype makes no difference. UXP comes from usage. Factory XP is supposed to come from Factories making an item and giving you 10% of what you would get as Crafting XP.
Seemed like a pretty straightfoward statement to me.
