The only issue will be that MA's COULD chose to lock Novices out of that market also... by simply making stuff better and selling cheap
and right there you nailed it.... i know of a number of architects that do this already. Why are they not gonna do this because of experimentation?

I dont know how Any Architect can do this already.. since there is no product quality difference between a totally experimented one and a non-experimented one. Currently the only competition is based on price alone. It has (in my opinion) had marginal effect, since clearly it is still possible to sell at 5 cpu instead of the 1-2 cpu that some are charging.
Using price as a barier to competition is only effective where the competition isnt able to market their product effectivly, or where demand has shrunk to a level where ALL sales must be faught for. We are heading in that direction, but we sure aren't there yet.
In an economy with experimentation the MA "COULD" try to lock out the lower quality products. But there are a couple of issues that will make it difficult. Firstly, there will be a small market selling to the amature miner who cant/wont pay top dollar. Second one is a metter of time. I know Im not going to waste time and resources making piddling little structures at a loss, when I can make big structures that are very profitable.
Even in our current economy I only build small (and to a degree medium) structures in order to carry a full catalog on my vendors.
