Thread: Ok now what.
well if you want to try something really hard i have something for you. I am going for armorsmith, weaponsmith and architect on my server. I am on Naboo in the Theed area. I have 3 resource harvesters and a wind power generator. If THAT'S not hard enough i have to get hide and bone. gain the 33000 XP i need to get into architect, 16,800 for armorsmith and 21000 for weaponsmith all while trying to keep my harvesters up. I only play maybe every other day and this is getting really hard. Try that on for size. You know you can be more than one proffesion so build guns or armor until you get all the way up that one and try making some money on the side that way. Or do what I'm doing and pick up some marksman skills so you can do missions. If you make weapons or armor and use it or have someone else use it you get a little crafting XP so do it that way. Just a thought.
10k is not too low?
this is not even close to what the equivelant in resources costs to buy even in bulk unless you play on starsider and can buy from anro (i wish) on corbantis at least resource prices are running at almost 10:1 ratio meaning small houses should be selling for 34k . if your lucky you can find a 5:1 ratio but only if you are able to buy in huge quantities. that still puts the small house at 17k. Architect is the power gamers profession. the only way to get ahead is to run at a loss or get alot of friends to help or basically spend your entire waking life on the profession.it would be much better if the resources were seperated out fromt he crafting professions and given to its own profession then every crafting class would need to buy thier resources and it would be much easier to set a value on an item.
Hey Cyberthugg,
Appears you've having some trouble moving the houses off your shelves. There are a lot of ways you can sell your items, but you also have to sell yourself. Get your name on the market and people will come to you.
If playing EQ has taught me anything, the worst thing you can say to a potential buyer is "make me an offer", this will ultimately drive them away, because they're afraid to make an offer and end up paying more then what you may have originally charged. Most people here have suggested selling at 10k, this seems to be the accepted market price for small houses.
The problem with selling houses is that not everyone has 10k laying around on them. So it makes it difficult to sell houses at a rate that will keep you funded. It might take you a day or two to collect the resources as well, so you're essentially making 1 house every 2 days plus the time to sell it. When you sell the house, sure you make a lot of credits at one time, but between the time you make it and the time of the sale you're floundering.
The real way most architects are floating above the water is through furniture sales. Furniture is more likely to sell, faster, and sooner then your small house will. Furniture takes less resources and if priced correctly can sell quickly and make you money then, instead of 3 days later. Someone who already owns a small house won't want to buy another small house, but they will definetly be looking for another couch or another chair. You'd be surprized at how much of my profits come from making torches.
Keep trying! You just need to find your own way of selling. Not everyone is cut out to make sales pitches, if you're having trouble, ask a friend to lend a hand.
Good luck,
Mitsudo
