MAJOR Issue that should be fixed. Of course, this would effect everyone but it would mostly impact us.

ONLY loose raw materials when doing combines. You don't loose any subcomponents. You have taken the chance at loosing them on a crit already. Some components, you have 3 chances of loosing it in the combines. Generator turbines for instance. You have a chance to crit fail on the initial assembly (that's fine). Then you have a chance to loose it on the assembly of Manufacturing Mechanismand then the final combine, along with the manufacturing mech.

Subcomponents that have already been made should not be lost on a combine. Plain and simple.

You get that and Structure Assembly to +100 and I know I'll be one happy Architect.

I could care less about experimentation.

I see those 2 above as our TOP 2 issues.

The ONLY way I, as a player, not as an Architect and I believe most of the players, would accpet any form of structure decay is if you reduced the amount of maint. cost by an equal amount.

Heck, give us redeed kits or something we can make. You need one in your inventory in order to redeed something and remove the redeed cost itself.

I really don't believe in structure decay, even though I am an Architect unless it forgoes an equal amount of maint. cost. I just can't see the players going for having to not only pay maint. fees now along with something to fix their structure decay. Talk about some pissed off people.

i write here as a customer:

No 1 issue: Just bought a Large Naboo House. Capacity is 250. I'm unable to find any site that tells me but isnt this the same as a small house? Either way it just isnt enough. Once youve put a few packs around the place for food, powerups, meds etc and half filled them (this really is what my buddies and I saved up all our credits to be able to have- joint pots of such things) then the house is full. Add crafting stations, a joint pool of resources and enough furniture to make the place look lived in and.. well you cant. There just isnt enough space.

Desperate wants for the future: Better more useful furniture!

Armoires and chests that are containers for small items (maybe with a fixed volume of 5, say, regardless of contents- in order to expand house capacity for small items)

Tables that are containers for small items which display their contents on their surface

Data terminals that act as noticeboards: options to control who can read and who can post. Allows people to leave messages & WPs for each other, and lists that can be modified: (">Hi guys I need Rhodium Steel >found a Seam & dropped a harv at this wp etc")

Fireplace, please.

Light sources other than torches.

Doors which can be dropped within a house (either replacing an existing door or just placed in a corridor). House administrators can set the name on the door (e.g. "Private- No Access") and set access permissions. People without permissions cannot pass through the door (though maybe let Smugglers slice them?)

Large wall hangings: picture frames (which could hold screenshots would be cool!), tapestries, flags etc.

Easier placing of items on walls- a drag and drop system would be great.

False ceilings (e.g. old-fashioned beam effect) which can be dropped to modify appearance of rooms.

Animal heads and other 'trophies', harvested from kills.

Decay on Furniture, and some sort of steady income for us would be great, what has happened is every architect creates the perfect light bulb with everything they make, meaning that it will never need to be bought again by that person, so we will all be out of business soon =(

My top issues are Colors for Furniture (I make more money off furniture sales since price gougers have screwed up the house/miner deeds so bad.... if colors were added we could all make a lot more money)

and the other issue would be a move up and down feature... but colors I think would be the best for are profession since we will be able to make some money

also the item max cap needs to be increased by 200%.... people aren't able to decorate their houses (especially the meduim, large and pa halls) and still be able to store items.

Good list, although both experimentation and decay continue to be hotly contested issues.

to answer the 3 things you wanted.

1) most urgent - thats a tough one... if you want a fixit, you started the other thread to fix the assembly points and i agree that can help a little, but to be honest I'd place most urgent as the ability to color furniture... it should a fairly easy fix and gives some life to the architects right now, as opposed to later on.

2) long term - I'd put GCW involvement as my biggest thing long term... many here know I'm opposed to decay as I look at it not from an architect viewpoint, but from a game community standpoint.

3) what is missing - please have them fix the master armoire schematic... it currently links to the next level down armoire instead of a matching white piece. I have to think the correct item is out there and just linked incorrectly. ( I'm pretty sure its the armoire, I'm not in game at the moment so can't double check.)

Overall, have fun dealing with us finicky architects, lots of fun around here somedays

Decay for Furniture must go in and fast. Easiest Way Time based because the code is already there from beta. The Problem might be that if people hear Decay they think a week or two. But all would be well if the Sofa Chair i bought the second week of release would now or in a month fall apart. Its a long term Game, decay doesnt mean that you replace furniture everyday.
Three things would be needed.
1.Everybody must know that it takes a long while (Pets become useless eventually but it takes ages)
2.Experimentation can improve condition
3.regular collection updates, new stuff to buy every update

ok, after much consideration and thought, I need to change my most urgent.... most urgent thing we need from the devs has nothing to do with any of the things listed.

the most urgent thing we need is... communication... If I know they're working on color furniture i'll be a lot quieter in complaining about it... if I know they're working on fixing assembly points I won't have to read 10 threads complaining about crit fails...maybe...

to be honest... the thing that is most frustrating? not having any idea of what they are trying to do... I read somewhere they have a "to-do" list made up somewhere.... why not give us a few hints of whats on it? then I can discuss that instead of making blind guesses... I can't help focus their work if i have no idea what they will even consider doing.

sorry... thats my /rant of the day.

Hear, hear. I agree 100%. If I at least knew they were listening and trying to fix things i would feel a lot better but as of right now I don;t think they are.

You people asking for decay on furniture and other stuff really have no clue as to what you are asking for. You're doing nothing but trying to piss every player off in exchange to provide you with a renewable income.

You really need to think twice about this decay this and decay that BS.

Quit trying to piss everyone off and come up with things to HELP the players, not piss em off.

I agree with Scortch.

Decay on funiture is usless and retarded. instead of it decaying, make it a permenate fixture in the house after you confirm its position. colored schemes would help the sales for this. if you want to remove it, you'll have to destroy it.

Decay on harvesters is dumb also, you guys charge enough already for med harvesters and other stuff. i wouldnt buy a fusion generator for 120k, just to know if they used **edit**ty materials it would decay faster and i would need to buy one in 3 weeks becuase mine is about to fall apart. same thing for houses, the reason why we pay for the maintence for our homes is so that it doesn't decay.....wild thought eh? this is a game and not real life, i know we cant pull up our rlhouse if we want to, but remember this is a game. if we pay 45k for a med house and i decide to move, there is now way in hell im gonna move once i plop that deed down

Im not sure if anyone has played Ultima Online but i had a carpenter and i sold alot of furniture, as well a ton of carpenters did. how is that possible you say?

its called flux. people buy them game, and quit every day. you will always have new people playing this game and therefore they will be customers after they get theirselves established.

this biggest problem with this game is the skill points. that is why no one can branch out and be a master in more than 2 skills. if we allowed like 3 or 4 master skills to be desired, you could be an architect/WS or AS or whatever to help circumvent the influx of customers to one profession to the other.
