Thread: Why do people continue to complain on pricing?
Mar! don't fall into that trap! get yourself a repore' with your customers, treat them right *let some make dayly payments, and give them the deed when the've paid up* and give them some free furniture ;-)
they will not only buy at the prices i listed, but be gratefull that you've been giving nice and understanding.
selling a house, just like selling anything else, is a service.
i forgot the other costs
every so many days, we have to redo the whole survey thing again... that means pulling up and LOSING the maintence/power.. thus we have to put more in to get it started again...the tips to medics and dancers to heal us after we died getting to our mines (which you probably dont do since you find it so ridiculous that we charge for our products)...the time spent either paying a merchant to sell our product (fees and maintence on vendors) or time spent yelling in theed plz buy my stuff kkthx
lots more cost than your mere 1k estimate
Most people don't want to hear my reasons for my prices on this server. Either they ignore me after I explain things to them, or they call me an a-hole or a scam artist now, when I used to get praised when I sold my wares for around 1.5creds per unit used. I can't give up on architect though because I need to master it to form my PA (no i'm not dealing with any of the Master Arch's on bloodfin, the majority don't have nice attitudes from what i've seen and heard).
It's kinda hard when you're only 1/4th the way there and no one wants your business because others have power crafted their way 10 steps ahead of you and undercut/outsell you on top of that. Oh well.
People who complain but are willing to listen get explained to about:
*Manually making 5 to 10 Wall Modules.
*Spending 30k/day on Harvester Maintainance.
*Still barely charging as much as the resources would
cost on the Bazaar.
*The incredible risk of simply hitting the Assemble button.
Anyone who claims to understand these things, but refuses the prices you charge, wasn't there to make a purchase in the first place.. they showed up to rip you off.
Also: Never combine an item until you need it. IE: Don't build a medium house then walk around trying to sell it. Hit Ctrl-P, select character, and put Novice Architect up as your title and make it searchable. People will notice, and they tell their friends. I've had my character title as "Guardsman" for almost two weeks now, and I'm still getting a lot of tells for orders for houses from friends of friends of people I sold houses to.
besten stinks. find a less crowded citty.
and you are barking prices. thats 1.) anoying and 2.) something that shouldn't be encouraged
just let your name do the talking, and go hang out in a cantina for a while, get to know the people, and maybe complain about your job ;-)
tip the dancers well, and ask them to let you know if anyone is looking for a house :-)
*sell your self, don't spam the comunity*

so a small house requres 3380 resources... How much are you paying for resources? I was harvesting copper from a site that was 54% and I was receiving 250 power/hr. After calculating raw material costs... .6 credits per unit of material. Now mind you... this is a low concentration of the material, so the cost is actually higher than you would normally see. So at the rate of .6 credits/unit. That small house cost you 2,033 credits to make... minus time and effort. Charging 15k for a small house is rediculous. period. Once the market is flooded, theprices will go down...just like weapons did.
What if I don't want to mine? Shouldn't I be able to buy every resource off the bazaar and still make you your house? Furthermore if I take those 3388 resources and put them on the bazaar at 3 creds/unit, they'd sell. That's just over 10K. Why should I sell a completed product for less?
Also comparing it to weapons is falice. Weaponsmiths were charging 50 creds/unit. Prices will drop when you're paying no more than 10 creds/unit to make the item. If anything house prices are going to rise as people start hitting master architect. They won't make stuff unless it's worth their time to do it. A lot of these buildings take many combines to make. A small home is 13 combines. A medium home is like 36 combines. Prices will rise, not fall.

Not sure where your coming up with those numbers but if you think thats what a small house takes you really need to go back to grade school and learn basic math.
small house: 3388 x 3 per resource is 10164
x6 per resource is 20328
Probably should post numbers from real info and not make yourself look foolish.
Some goober on Flurry just went on a tirade about what a horrible person I am, and how horribly I Was going to fail financially in the game because I wouldn't sell him a small bed for 500cr.
I love smart people.
lol, you can never tell with people...
you can just try to let them have the option.
