Also, to address storage 'exploitation' you have to equip a back pack, so perhaps only one armoir and/or chest per house that can hold items - as if they have been 'equipped' by the house. This will minimise the strain on the databases.
We definately need an amount per lot, rather than if you spend more up front for a house AND spend more per day AND spend more lots, you get less storage. That makes no sense.
Surely the database doesn't benefit from multiple small houses?

I agree that mediums need to go up to 4 lots and increase space to 250. Then keep large at 6 with 350 items storage.
This would create a very nice balance.
But I also think that there should be a2lot "wearhouse" building that crafting professions could use to store 250 items. Or something along those lines.

I'm ALL for more space! 250 storage for 6 to 9 lots is rediculous... how is it, 5 small houses = 750 storage, but a building the size of a guild hall = 250? Ya don't even have to make it the full 75 per lot... capped at 500 wouldn't be so bad... I woulda thought that one 9 lot building would be less server intensive than someone putting up 5 small buildings....

Just my random thoughts...
I think 100 slots in bank, 110 (50+60) on person, and 750 (75 x 10 lots) is quite a few slots. In fact it's 960 items, or at 100k stack sizes, potentially 96mil resources. Of course, this doesn't include lots for factories, harvesters, or using space for decoration.
There are quite a few work-arounds which you can use, unintended or not:
1. Mule Accounts
- Jedi account, second account altogether, etc to double the space available
2. Factory
- 100 in input, 100 in output for only 1 lot
3. Vendor (my favorite)
- Unlimited storage, just sell the items for much more than they're worth (bags full of resources for 99mil)
- This can be a hassle though, and you have to check it ever 30 days or risk losing lots of resources!
I'm not sure that increasing storage would fix it, cause you'd reach another cap in a short time. Making stacks of 1mil each could help, but 100k stacks are huge for most "normal" users.

BTW, I think stacking similar serialed items in an excellent idea. DEVs! Where are you?! Great idea here!!!

Yeah, we architects have a lot of different types of resources. I like the idea of having chests and armoires that actually hold stuff, instead of having to put everything in unlocked containers, which count against our max item count anyway. That's brilliant.
Also, it's tought being a Master Fencer and Architect because when I'm on my way to gather resources, I kill a little bit, get the loot, and come home to realize that I don't have any room. We need way more space, at least double what's already alotted us. Maybe a huge safe deposit box at the bank, if lag becomes an issue.

I know its been said and done many times but again YES!
100 spaces per lot used is a sensible place to start

As a simple citizen of the game, this problem is my biggest suffering. A tat hall with about 12 rooms to furnish, and 250 items limits...I read what's written here, but would somebody be nice enough to summarize what the devs have said on the subject? Any clear response that they acknowledged the problem and that it should be addressed somewhere in the future or we don't even have that feedback from them???

I'll sign with a caveat. I think that Smalls need to remain the same, mediums need to go up to 250 items and 4 lots, and Larges remain at 6 lots, with 350 storage.
That being said, I think that Cabinets and Chests should be able to hold any non-armor item, up to a qty of 10, and only count as 1 against the house total, with a maximum of 10 storage items allowed to be filled per house, or any combination totalling 100 hiden items. Armoires should act the same, but only accept clothing and armor, the 2 types that chests/cabinets won't.
I will sign and agree.
If the DEVs want to make a improvement they should adress the issue that a medium house is in fact, BIGGER than a small house, and should be corrected technically accordingly.
