Possibly a solution to this is just have the house decay really really really slowly. Keep the maintance rates the same but the decaying rate slower with the same money cost. That'd solve some problems and be a compromise.


If nothing else don't fret to much, even though it can suck it can be good...and the devs have said that they will do character purges more often and when they do the structures on those characters will go *poof* so not all hope is lost.


It's possible that more houses will go poof now because of that, the money in some of those houses could be a great deal and take a long time to decay, yet with more character purges even those houses will poof.
