You can probably get 3-5 cpu for them. If factories go for 40k then I'd charge about 3 cpu for a tent. I honestly don't think they'll sell too well, but YMMV.

Short answer- sell walls. You will recoup more of your money that way than any other.

Come think of it why wouldnt I just make factories and sell them for 40k myself? I have two wendors... Do factories have stats you need to experiment? Efficiency etc, does it matter? Would making structure modules in factory than walls to sell do me any good? DO I get ANY xp - by standing by the factory? Didn't seem so last night...

That's what I did... and I must say, there seems to be a HUGE market for factories. If you have enough Merchant skill to advertise on the map, just name one of your vendors "Harvestors and Factories" and you will get traffic. If that isn't possible, then run to Theed and/or Coronet and announce that you have Factories and Harvestors for sale, and when a person sends you a tell then lure them to your shop. (Never trade them in the city because then they'll never see what else you have to offer )

I can't keep my vendors stocked with factories or harvestors. When I put them on there, they are gone within a day. Food factories have been the most common lately. It's interesting what kinds of gossip an architect can make up:

"Hmm.... seem to be selling an awful lot of food factories lately. I bet people are using them to make mass amounts of medicine. There must be a lot of sick and wounded people... You know! I think there's a war going on right now!"

Secondly... factories will never grant you any exp. Not even making the schematic gives you exp. I never used my factory until I was a master. It's not worth it.

Yes, factories sell, especially the food and chemical. I can barely keep food and chem tools and stations on my vendor. I just made a run of 300 15.0 f&ctools and I only expect that to last a few weeks.

My problem with factories is that for the resources used, you can't sell them for much money. The same resources could be used to create harvesters and return per unit of material is better with harvesters. I make factories only because I want to be a one stop shop for all crafting supplies.

You can set down a structure factory, and make a schmatic for a wall. Than just leave the input hopper open and hand craft structure mods making walls out of them. Good xp, will take longer than gungan heds, but you can probably sell the walls off for 2 mil or so if you can find someone to buy them. Or you can make harvestors and sell them, about 30 or so, for 280k each on my server.

The problem with thinking about selling harvesters on the way to Master Architect is that realistically you need to be 0/4/2/0 at least before you can make competative harvesters (people are NOT buying medium harvesters with BER less than 8 or so) AND you need a stockpile of high-quality resources, which you typically can't accumulate very well while grinding. So I don't think selling harvesters fits the "quick and economical" criteria at all.

I'm new to grinding Architect too, but i made statues.

you dont have to just make gungan heads, after it shows you the gungan head drop down the list and you can make other statues.

i sell weird and strange statues. also the sentinel statues sells pretty good. i've just put them on the bazar now. 3k. it doesnt make up for what i spend on harvesting, but better than nothing.

i still have my master Doctor so thats my income, but architect for now has taken me from 500k credits to 200k )

i noticed there is a good market out there for street lamps, cause guilds and cities want them, but you also have to have master artisan to make the lighting component of it.

Maybe I'm asking for too much - but keywords were Quick AND Easy... I know Harversters have good maket and good price but its not quick - you need to experiment too much for BER 10/13 and it takes only gppd resources... Walls sound ok - but last night I sold my first food factory for 40k (I guess lot of BEs need them), seems not too much more time to make and nice profit (over 3x)... Sold some small houses too. Without Advertising III not sure how to get traffic by vendors, so I spam in Batine/Cotonet/Theed that I make factories, small houses per order (or have one each on me)...Vehicles too but the competition is like car dealerships - dog eat dog... Maybe after patch with 3 bikes each .

So, I think I saw too that factories give you no xp - sure is nice to have crates of stucture components in backpack tho, tue make per order on the spot. No one answered my question about quality and experimentation on factories (or buyers are even newer to them then me), that output size and Production Rate - just for show? Mine are production rate (or something like that) - Zero (0)!?

Quick and easy = Statues

Getting a return on your investment = Walls

Maybe you can do half and half. Alternate walls and statues. That'd give you a balance between XP, number of clicks, and not going broke mastering it.
