i agree with pawlin- sorry but these arent architect changes. Granted lowering the costs for lots used by homes might give us a little business- but thats small time stuff.

I believe all that was required was that the Owner (not an admin) pay maintenance of any amount to the structure to have it update the lot requirement.

Which parts pertain specifically to the architect profession?
I see nothing that would give architects any ongoing, sustainable income stream
I see nothing about ore mining units crating.
I see nothing about experimentation on fusion generators and solar collectors being returned.
Item increases and lot reductions are nice. But thats not an architect item specifically. And what I really want to know about that is why can they make those changes
now but couldn't make it sooner?

I guess some of the changes are nice. I think the devs will live to regret the maintenance/decay of structures change. Other than the furniture schematics and the bestine paintings, when was the last architect patch? This isn't an architect patch.

I do agree the upcoming changes are nice in general.

I think the last thing we got specific to architects was the structure factories being reduced from 2 lots to 1 lot.

As an Architect: No complaints, but no joy. Stuff only impacts our customers. Except we can acess our factories from any side. (we didn't get absolutely nothing )

As a crafter: Now I can deal with all those components a little easier.... Did the devs get a data base guy/gal to get a handle on larger numbers of items?!?!? /cheer for the db

Over all, a good set of stuff. Now if they could just deal with our issues...

Everything sounds great! At last storage is returning to Beta levels! Please can we reduce the lots used for a structure factory?

Structure factory only uses 1 lot. (That was done a few patchs ago)

I think lowering PA halls to 5 lots was a mistake.

Now you'll see nothing but PA hall littering the countryside.

Besides I would have prefered my PA hall (Store) have more storage instead of using less lots.

Still overall nice changes but none that really directly effect Architects.

The good news is the devs do seem to be getting patches out quicker and I'm hoping soon they will do something that really helps us. (Harvester decay?)

Ok if you have not seen the patch notes of what is coming our way.. please Go Here and read... And post feedback in this thread about the parts pertaining architect profession... Things are really moving in the Change department

As a player - love the changes, I can get rid of one of my storage factories and a storage house.

As an architect - not loving these changes all that much. I would expect to see a number of houses and such returned to my vendor, or put in my "offer" section which I'll reject summarily.I'd also expect to see the sales of my houses andfactories take a hit. I see this change as taking more sales from the Architect.

With this and the last patch - the larger architect sale items have been removed and no alternative has been given to us.

I said it in our last post - if there was a clear communication system between the Devs and the Players people like me wouldn't get annoyed out of our gourd.. If the Devs say "Architects, here's our 10 step plan 1) Changing maitenance, 2) Increasing limits, 3) ??, 4) ?? etc etc" then we'd know what's happening and not have to depend on little frustrating gossip pieces like "I assure you Architects are going to be very happy in the future" to keep us going.

So now that the house limits are increasing - is the next step the Devs take to restrict the number of lots a player can have across the galaxy? Last I heard the magic number they were playing around with was 15. Is this move a precursor to that?

All in all, as an architect - this is a very frustrating process.

It will, in at least the short term, help house and furniture sales. As lots free up, it will also help harvester sales. With Pols no longer needing skill points, we may see more changes in mayors, which will help with city decoration sales.

I think that there is much that helps architects to this change.
