Nice analogy, Bandola. Hopefully it doesn't extend to when you have cats in the neighborhood.
Actually, that would be an apt description of what you are looking for with this scenario. Hopefully you find all the poodoo before it comes out to live. hehe

Um. What are we going to do? Throw houses at people?
We are one of the very few professions OUTSIDE of combat. Nothing we make or do has anything to do with combat. In fact I think we are the ONLY profession that is that way. Every other class can be used in Galactic civil war or pvp some how.
And as such like every other class has had some info given to them about whats happening with them. We have heard 5hit about our profession. Which leads me to believe either:
A.) Just like JTL we get nothing new
or
B.) as we have nothing to do with combat, our views do not carry any weight pertaining to the combat rebalence.
I think you need to stand up and try and make something happen for once. Cause this profession is almost dead. Its been on its last legs for a bit now, but its starting to turn belly up. Start making some demands. Start cursing and screaming, I dont care. but you are our voice to development. You've been working on furniture colorization and a few other 'concerns' we have had FOR MONTHS. I dont really care that development is busy. They are busy increasing other classes potential. Not mine. And I dont care about other classes. I care about mine. YOU should not care about other classes. Care about yours. get us some answers to our concerns and issues.
No I do not apply to play in the sandbox as a tester. Im done testing. I want to PLAY. I want our class to be interesting. I want us to be more then we are. And if you can tell me that things for us will change drastically in the combat revamp, then I might be more supportive of testing it.. But until then I say screw sony, screw their testing and screw everyone who doesnt care about this profession.

Yes the architect profession will not much have much to do with the combat rebalance. Architects did get some perks with the addition of players cities but that is about it.
Architects are rare, but for me being one on the original jedi grind I did not find it very appealing. I helped our guild get all the buildings required for the startup then dropped it immediately. The only rewarding thing to me was to walk around the Player City and say, hey I made that..
They do need to work on the ability for Architects to do more. Maybe with the Faction side of things, why can an architect design a base, or a new turret, or something like that.
It would make sense that an architect can design a new type of layout. That would be neat in my opinion to be able to design a new mobile base for the rebels, or a upgraded AT-ST
