I think I am one of the few that already stopped bothering about the new loot. The first hour I got online after those things had been introduced, I already found tons of schematics for the streetlamp, radio and droid body, so no rarity there. But then comes the fun part. Learn schematic, make item, learn schematic, make item, learn schematic, make item, etc... The droid body has to be made by a DE, so I needed to find one. After an hour I finally found one, who luckily was willing to make 13 schematics into items. Then, I needed to find a Chef, to make the Kitchen Utensils. Oh and I needed to find a Smuggler for the Gambling Table.
So when this drop rate is this high, you have 2 things. One, I can't price the items too high, cause the schematics drop like mad. But because I need to handle a lot of schematics, it takes me a lot of room and time to make them. Two, people will either stop caring about getting the items made when they loot a schematic, or crafters will get bugged like madmen with tells asking them to make items (for which they can't really charge anything either).
So until they either seriously change the drop rate, or make the schematics multiple use, I'm not going to mess with it anymore.
Just my 2 cents.

Our mayor has also tested it and they can not be placed in a city.
But they do work in a building and they go on and off just like street lamps. There is no choice of color .. just a white light.
Resources are:
35 Metal
15 Metal
20 Mineral
Odig Talon, TL
Hunters Rest, Talus Ahazi

Figures, only SOE would make a STREETlamp only able to be dropped INSIDE a building and not out in the STREET.
And then they *did* make it work like a streetlamp, as in it's only during nighttime.
