What the hell kind of analogy is that?!? Every profession uses lots, why do you think we deserve more? Merchants and Creature Handlers getting extra vendors and pets are only getting extra of what they alone can possess. The lot system is fine. The problem is that architects can't charge enough money to make it worth while for others, remember this is a massive multiplayer game, to mine the materials we need.

I didn't know there was a problem.. I make large profits, buy all my things, and live in a pa hall.

Do you know how easy it would be for them to add lots to all existing architecs??

I had a fusion generator that just up and disappeared, someone had a large harvester on the same spot and my waypoint was still there and I was showing 9 lots available even though I had no other structures placed. If it had been destroyed due to lack of maintenance the waypoint would have disappeared.

I askeda CSR to help me and he was dumbfounded as to what happened to it, he gave me a new deed to a fusion generator to replace the one that was missing and increased my lot count by 1 so that I then had 10 lots.

I dont think it would be a very big thing for them to modify the code to make Architects have extra lots as they increase up the construction tree since it is a completely useless tree with no visible affect whatsoever.

Afterall they already have the tools to do it on a case by case basis.

Personally I think your "declared residence" no matter what size should be free in terms of lots, and any other houses you choose to place should cost the normal amount of lots.

Wow ShaddamtheIV you got a CSR to do something?

We had our general store (with about 10000 items) from the PA Im in just poof a few days ago. We havent even gotten a response yet. I had three personals just out and out poof yesterday as well. Is this just part of the game design? Maybe this is their attempt at catastrophic events.

I am afraid to say that although I would love the luxury of a permanent home, I would have no hesitation in using any extra lots for harvesing.

atm btw I put up my house and factory during the resource shift and take them down when things settle down.

You show me another crafting profession that uses 1/4 of the resources in a single day than we do. When a weapon/armor/droid/stim/food/drug start taking 40,000 units of resources to make, then and ONLY then, will I stop screaming for more lots.

I don't know if necessarily more lots are needed, but I think that I have to agree with some people when they say that they should lower the lot cost. At least lower the large house to maybe 2 lots. I can deal with that. Hmm...I forgot what else I was going to say....................................................................................

There have been SEVERAL good alternate suggestions about the lots (houses cost one, first house is free, etc) and you know I would be happy to see ANY of them but something needs to be done here. JOE BLOW, (the wookie) asks me waht a generic medium style 5000 with a twist of lemon looks like and I can't show him. Most architects and apartment complexes have display models at least, and i can't do that. Besides which this CRIPPLES PA leaders (of which I am NOT one) as a crafter. If a PA hall belongs to an actual PA it should cost nothing other than creds. Gosh I hope the devs look at this.

Instead of giving more lots, they could change the lot costs.

small house 1 lot, med 2 lots, large 3 lots. Makes sense to me.

Alternately, giving 1 to 2 more lots to the construction tree(1 lot ever 2 tiers)wouldn't seem terribly unbalancing.

Bringing back the miner profession might help, if they only received and advantage on perhaps maintenace costs, or mining effeciency. Making them the only profession able to use harvesters would be terribly unbalancing.

You know, you people asking for more lots are asking for a really big advantage, and I don't think you're helping our profession. If Archs get more lots, they will have the ability to earn huge amounts more money than other players (in percentage terms.) It will be seen as a potentially game unbalancing move.

Keep it simple. Don't try to get the Devs to gift you with another five or ten lots -- and the tens of thousands of credits per day that those lots represent. Get them to lower the ridiculous lot-cost on houses. If you lower the lot-cost -- for all players, not just Archs -- we'll sell more houses! And we'll be able to afford to have a nice one ourselves.

Why are you trying to be self-dependent? that's not the way the Devs have designed this thing. Find someone and either borrow some of their lots or arrange to buy materials for them. Then you can afford to have your house, factory(ies), and some mines of your own.
