I am an Imperial.... I had a holocron but it didn't do anything but explode after about a week.... what gives?

Current knowledge no one has gotten a 5th holocron to tell them to master anything.

so 4. get 4 then start grinding.

In the end you will need 4. That assumes you have a NEW character. If you mastered a profession or two on you rmagic list it may be less.

I have a question if i have only the base professions, marksman and scout will it tell me to learn something from another base profession, such as artisan. In other words would it be worse to find a holocron, if you have all the base professions, or does it matter at all, meaning its determained at beginning of character (which is what everyone says, but i want to know if its still the same theory!)

I oppose the NGE and support Holocron Shug and Q-3p0's dream of the way SWG should be!

So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we?ve created a system to make that happen."

If you havnt already mastered all the base professions, then it could tell you to master one. Speaking from personal experience my very first cron told me to master entertainer. Since then I've taken the time to master every single base profession there is. I may have to remaster one if it is required for an elite profession if and when I ever get another holocron, but im sure befor that happens another mmorpg wil be out im interested in and I'll throw in the towel on SWG.

A holocron could tell you any profession... it is RANDOM!

I suggest actually obtaining a holocron and finding out.

If you don't want to look for holocrons or pay millions for them... then just play the game and do what you want and have fun.

Don't get caught up in the grind fest it will ruin the game for you.

Yup I agree....game was going fine befor the introduction of Jedi. Being the power gamer I am, If I cant figure out my force slot now that others have Ihave no interest in playing. Im sure the space expansion will peak my interest again if IM not already involved in another mmoprg though. In the mean time Im going to master Bounty Hunter just for the sole purpose of hopeing a young Jedi will be careless and use his/her powers onece to often enough to get on the mission list. Win or loose the whole process of locateing them and bringing a small army to make sure there is enough fire power will be fun.

Darktroopers for Rebels, Rebel Surface Marshalls for Imperials. They are on tough factional destroy missions or at faction bases. Any intensely strong NPC on Dantooine like "Force Mystic" have a chance of dropping them. Any NPC that starts with "stranded" drops them. You can find those anywhere but especially on Yavin 4.
