The Jedi correspondent got it from another player and then for some reason, posted it as a Tip.
It's ... just ... furniture.
Believe me, I wish it did work that way - would be an awesome thing to manufacture and sell.

From an architect point of view, who wants to sell these things, I would strongly SAY they worked! And the better the materials, the better they work! What? Bomb droid got thru? Oh, you need this 98% droid detection device then, made out of the finest resources ever to spawn on server X! And I'll let you have this rare one for only 50k! Oh, there is still a 2% chance it might fail. /grin

If they believe it works, I say sell them! Who are we to convince them otherwise untill we try Jedi and learn the truth?

This sounds like that rumor that went around that if you kept an ancient artifact in your inventory that you would loot better loot.

People have been reporting that riding one of my swoopbikes makes them more attractive to members of the opposite sex.

Could your house be set to Private?

Just wait, some guy will start selling 98% droid detection devices at 300 creds a crate to get even with the "gougers."

The Jedi correspondent checked with the devs? Yeah right. That sounds like the start of a rumor. I'm going to go peruse the Jedi forums tonight for that correspondent's "checking".

It's an interesting rumor none the less that desrves a little play and expoitation, besides if you make they may just buy it... right?

Make it and play, no harm no foul if it doesn't work because there's code in place the protects jedi in housing they own are "safe" in. So until the dev's say outright that it is just a rumor LETS MAKE SOME MONEY!

wow nice necro.... oh and for the record people these do work. The stipulation is you have to be inside before the droid is pulled. If you are then the droid cannot enter, I have done this several times on a BH. Before I used these I was hit a few time while inside mt house, and now they can't hit you...

Besides all a Jedi has to do is hit the driod as soon as the timer starts and it kills the droid with no boom.
