I have operated 14 harvesters (using 4 of my friends lot for FREE) for MANY weeks now and I only have 150k. That is not a lot when u think about it. I should be getting more when I work on something.. I am adding VALUE to it but apparently its not working like that. I dont understand why some of you dont get that.. oh well.
I can understand this perfectly. I get a lot of fun from the game playing businessman too. I do some fighting, but mostly it's wheeling and dealing and such. Maybe you just haven't found the right niche, or the right strategy. I've been playing architect since the game started. I've never borrowed lots (I shared a few for awhile at the begninning, but never had over 10 machines). I've had a minimum of 4 medium harvesters and 2 windmills since I could build them, and a small house since I could build that. I only have 6 harvesters total at the moment.
I just hit the 160k mark and I don't expect to have less than 150k for more than a day or two ever again. Sounds to me like you're doing something wrong, if you're not meeting your financial goals. Then again, maybe your goals are unrealistic. Either way, my point is simply that you aren't going to find much sympathy from people here by complaining that you've *only* got 150-250k when probably 75% of the players so far have never even seen 100k at the same time.
I think the main problems come from:
1) Weekly maintenance canbe VERY high. Couple this with resource reset and moving harvesters around. If you don't have 100-150k to bankroll it your going bankrupt.
2) It's depressing to puta lot of hardwork in leveling architect to only realize youd be better off just selling the ore directly. In fact, once you aquire say 10 harvesters, you dont' needto bean architect anymore, just sell the ore, and you'll make more money
3) Lots ofpeople selling bigitems for low low cost causing a lot of undercutting (bad) but woorse of all alot of: Hey that guy is charging me only 3k what's your problem wanting 10k for a small hosue?! You trying to rip me off!
And that only goes to distress the architect more.
Only 150k on you? Only making good money from some of your product line? Realized you've SPENT over 500k?
ROFLMAO! Oh my god, that's just rich. <wipes tears from his eyes> I'm sorry, this is one of the funniest things I've read all day.

ugh.. apparently some people will never get it. My friggin point, as someone already stated, is that I CAN MAKE FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR MORE money by selling ore than by selling architect stuff. That is whats annoying me. BUT ANYWAYS.. and once u get to master architect, scxp is kindav useless..
And others didn't miss your point. ![]()
You get resources. You have a choice:
a) Use the resources to make money.
b) Use the resources to make cool stuff, and experience.
Choose one. You can't have both.
What ever you do, you aspiring Master Architects DONT MAKE ITTO MASTER!
You have undersold the market to get there... NOW WHAT? um people expect you to
sell cheap (under cost) but you no longer get XP hmmmm... those people you made free stuff for that supplied resources are asking you again but hmmm you are spending a couple hours making that large
house for what? No XP no money.. maybe they will tip you a k or 2. Wake up sheesh. PEOPLE WANT STRUCTURES. I have no problem selling a large house for 220k or a small for 19k. Never have. Sure ive lost sales to noobs selling for 7-10k but I now see them slinging guns because they couldnt feed their harvs.
