What about a droid likethe seeker droid that searches the entire planet and sends back a waypoint to the 3 highest concentrations. The droid could have multiple charges, but only be able to search for one type of resource per charge (like seeker droids)..

A droid to show the densities of the current location is a great idea.The seeker droid idea, however, while an interesting idea on the surface, would prove more frustrating and useless in game. By the time most people sent out these droids, then got to the locations, the area would be so littered with harvesters that it wouldnt be worth the trip. Not to mention, if a high density showed up in a small community, as they often do, the harv litter would happen much faster and be even worse than it is now. As it is, it usually takes afew days for it to happen if your community is at all remote, and then the resource shifts and its over.
