Thread: What resources should a soon to be novice architect stack up on?
I would highly suggest stocking up on flora, water, meats, and hides and rethinking your choice of Architect and becomming a chef
LOL, I've been following "The Plight of The Architect" for quite some time now. But, after everything else I wanted to do as an Elite is fudged up also (well, they have fixed Commandos, but the unarmed grind suxxor), I've settled on Architect. DEs was the other one. Architect is a little easier to move up the three than that one.
Thank you all, again.
Let me make this plain and simple and very clear. ORE...ORE...ORE...ORE and more ORE. I think I forgot to mention ORE. Seriously. You can use ANY metals in building a wall. So if you can find CHEAP copper, iron, alum, steel, etc...then you'll be fine. Metal is ALWAYS cheaper than ore (at least that I've found). So, stock up on as much ore as you can possibly get your hands on. I mean TONS of ore. Get a backstock of 10's of thousands of ore (if money provides).
As far as Carbonate Ore, Alum, Copper and Steel (which are our other necessary ingredients), wait until u get a little further into arch before getting any of this. Most of these are only necessary in VERY small doses. So, just find some cheap metal (and stock up on it quite a bit). But, I can't stress enough about ore...ore...and TONS MORE ore.
Ore is our absolute lifeblood.

I wouldn't say architect requires an overwhelming amount of resources. Quantity yes, they do require a lot. However as a weponsmith I carry around 40 different types of resources. That's a lot!
Lol, I guess I have this thing for iron because it was always easy to get real good spots of high concentrations so I always just grabbed that in large quantities. It's just what I started out using and stayed with it. Lately I haven't harvested any and just concentrating on alum and copper. I'm slowly weening myself from it hehe
