Thread: Collection of Bugs, Errors, Oversights and Whaa!?!?!?s 08-26-03(Updated Weekly)
Here's an update:
The large bed in my Naboo house is now sittable. Has been for at least 2 days.
1J, crit fails resulting in resources still stuck in the required resource slots
this only seems to happen to the installation and buildings line. all furniture i've tried clears the slots during a crit fail.
Ripped from another post for inclusion in bug post
While pumping out Heavy Natural Gas Harvesters I noticed how to open the Input Hopper on a Crafting Station finally by holding down left-click on a crafting tool and hilighting Start Crafting. This was the first time I've ever noticed it and started thinking to myself maybe tests have shown function rating of Crafting Stations to be moot because they've all been conducted without the use of the Input Hopper, maybe causing the only benefits to crafting to be from the Crafting Tool. So anyhow, I decided to dump resources into the Input Hopper to run some tests on failure rates to see if Function Rating would make a difference on items crafted out of the Input Hopper.
I'm in the Experimentation phase of a Heavy Natural Gas Harvester, and suddenly my DSL cuts out and I'm dropped to the log-in screen at which point my DSL connection comes back up. I log back in and first thing I realize is the successfully crafted Heavy Natural Gas Harvester had been destroyed when the crafting session died. I can stomache that as CSR's on Naritus are usually pretty quick about reimbursements on items lost to bugs. So I flip open my crafting menu to make another Harvester and what do you know, ALL my resources that was in the Input Hopper of the Crafting Station are gone. I just lost 150k resources inside my Crafting Station by being disconnected. On further testing I discovered that the Crafting Stations Input Hopper deletes itself when a character logs out.
Two Crafting issues I've learned from this.
1 Once the Final Craft takes place on an item, it really needs to be placed in a characters inventory with the default naming if a player is disconnected. The check for failure/success is made before Experimentation, there is no reason for items to disappear in the Experimentation phase.
2 Input Hoppers will delete its contents when a player logs out. This is unacceptable as it can lead to some MASSIVE player losses.
Careful of your Crafting Stations.
