I don't want an increase in Ore concentrations. They are high enough IMO. I can fill my vendors with hundreds of harvesters as it is. I don't even harvest myself, I buy everything. I buy Ore a couple of million units at a time, I built up slowly to a position where I could afford to do this, even though it meant at times that my bank balance was almost zero. Increase Ore concentration and anybody will be able to build up supplies enough to hold high stocks and the competitive edge I have worked for a year to achieve will be gone. I worked for this I selfishly do not want to see anybody be able to just drop a few harvesters and pull in ore by the brick. IMO this will be no different from the Holo-grinders, who suddenly could master Arch just by grinding out statues.
Before anybody flames me, remember, I can live with the current Ore concentrations because I decided how I would run my business despite the low concentration, this means that anybody else can do it. Some people are not prepared to work for what they want, or are not prepared to risk their credits to eventually succeed. You youngsters want it too easy IMO.

Actually, after I think about it, I'm inclined to agree with you Bandola. Certainly Architects need love in many areas, but this is one that I would leave alone. I'm a low to mid-level architect as far as sales go. I have a fleet of about 20 heavies that I use to minevarious resources, mostly ore, obviously, and I can stillstock between 50 and 120 heavy harvesters at a time. Also, I do all this while running a city, so I can't be described as a "full-time" architect by any stretch of the imagination. My miners often sit idle for a day or two after a shift.
So if I can manage that with the current ore concentrations, surely others can. I think this is like anything else in the game. We've taken a system and pushed it to its limits, and now we lobby for changes so we can continue to push the envelope. Eventually it has to stop. I suspect the devs set the ore concentrations at their current levels as some kind of game-balance mechanism anyway. I don't think any of them expected to see people doing factory runs of 1000 walls, or hundreds of heavy miners. In fact the original intention was to allow factory runs of 100 and no more, but someone discovered that you could enter the number 1000 into the field, so they just changed it to read 1000. That may yet change. There have been rumblings about reducing the number of items one schematic can produce back to 100.
I saidrumblings people, rumors. Pure conjecture.Don't send a panicked PM to Thunderheart or post an indignant flame in the core systems forum just yet.
In any case, I think the ore concentrations are fine the way they are. Would it make it easier for me and everyone else to grow my business if they were higher? Maybe. Probably. It might also just drive down prices as more product floods the market, causing me to work harder in order to make the same amount of money I do now. Something I don't want or need. My business is doing well enough for me. If an up and coming architect wants to get to the same position, let them work for it like I did.
