I feel for the armorsmiths that bundle suits, but in all reality i have no problem with this.

The reason the Devs are doing this is so that they can stop people from keeping ridiculous amounts of items, regardless of their worth. For example, I used to harvest hides and meat from everythingI killed, and of course I kept it,no matter the stats, just because i could. If this fix goes into effect, then i'll have to destroy a bunch of the stuff which is not a bad idea. Think of itas a forced garage sale.

and yes devs shouldknow bynow that they should damn well increase the limitson storage to 75 per lot.

We've been asking for items that you can store stuff in for quite some time. I think a few months ago they actually acknowledged the request with something about how it wouldn't be too difficult.

However, I don't think it would be implemented in a way that let us all get more storage space. They seem adamant about not giving us more storage space.

makes sense to me... I'm happy with the merchant changes... I'll get to have more vendors, allowing me to seperate my goods in a more easy to browse format for my customers, also making it much easier to see what needs restocking just by checking each vendor individually.

Your thread title was uncalled for, innacurate and designed in a way to be insulting. But you call a one-star petty?

Yes I do and thats my opinion as the above is yours.

A one star for thread title....whats this the new Merchant Thought Police.......lol

A small look in the merchant forum is enough to notice how most posters there are one line whiners or even worse whole paragraph gloaters over the upcomming vendor/merchant nerf.

If you dont like the view others have of your forum get posting and one staring there.

Im sure the rest of the crafting forums are actually full of love for the merchants who are supporting nerf after nerf.

If you don't want 1 star ratings thenyou mighttry not to flame people.

Like it or not this change seems pretty obvious to me as an extention to the vendor item limits. If they limit the number of items on the vendors it would be stupid of them to not count the items in a backpack cause it would just be a loophole around the vendor item limits. And yes it is a storage nerf for anyone using vendors as storage which they were not intended for. Its also a nerf for most/all large crafters (ie successful crafters).

Are you for real or just being a useless troll? Show me one post where Merchants were asking for the Backpack nerf prior to it happening. It was never asked for - never. Your accusation has no grounds or merit. It's not even a bloody opinion because it would have to have some semblence of truth for you to form an opinion on in the first place.

Allow me to generalize as freely as you are. From the small posts you've made, you're a ... clueless whiner - the worst kind.

Reducing and refining vendor limits is the 1st step in increasing house storage limits. The Devs are simply trying to shift the database space from one profession to all professions. Its not the only way, but it has been stated that this is the course they've elected to run.

less time posting = more time playing!

we all have to start at zero, i guess i could get 1421347213718237posts andquality for FS M Posterif i sat down commenting everything and everyone but would that make my opinions count more than anyone else's! Implying that a low postcount has less valueto it isa low blow imo O_o

we all pay for this game and everyone have theright to voice their opinions. including the Novice Posters.

/think better put my nutcup on

as some of you said i too would like more space i use 6 lots for mecasa grandebut could just go get 3 mediums instead, its a shame,to not be able to fill a large house :/

thanks for getting the discussion running ferrer!

I actually find this statement to be hilarious. The devs have never come out and told us what ANYTHING was intended for. We all are playing this game by the seat of our pants, and making up game content as we go.People keeptalking as if there was some grand scheme that we are all gravitating to because of its simple genius. What things are intended for? You've got to be kidding!!!

If anyone had seriously looked at the ramifications of our overly complicated and convoluted system of resources and shifts, then they would never have set up a database which cannot be expanded. On top of that, though, it seems that the precious database space needs to be conserved for the greater loot drops and variety that the combat professions keep getting. This game was supposed to have content for crafters and combatants, and that is not the way it is turning out.

I thought at first the game was INTENDED to be fully enjoyed by all types of players, but now I wonder if anything at all was really intended. I am tending to believe that nearly everything that we consider content and immersion is just simply accident and misinterpretation of whatever is in the devs' little pointed heads (or, at the very least, in the devs' managers' little pointed heads).

The optimist says that the game is working as intended. The pessimist is afraid that the optimist is right.

Don't let the negative AFKophobes get you down. Play the game however you want.

Is the beta testing almost over for this game?

No I'm not kidding.

The DEVs do state on the rare occasion how things are intended to work.Granted it is rare and a random post in the forums rather than proper straight forward documentation, but they DO say how they intend for things to work ... sometimes.

And I honestly think it is pretty blatantlyobvious that vendors are not intended for storage. So in this case I do not need someone with a redname to say so explicitly for me to state it with confidence as a fact rather than my interpretation of some imagined vagueness in the game.

I don't mind if you want to laugh about the vagueness of the game in general but don't aim your laughter at quotes from my posts unless you want to debate with ME on what I said.

Pawlin -

If it can be done, then it will be done. I consider it some of the rare game content that I, as a non-combatant, can find in this game. I do, however, apologize for what could be construed as a derogatory remark aimed towards you. I got carried away with my rants.

Blatantly obvious? Well, I don't think it is that obvious. I genuinely believed that it was a small token gesture towards the crafters, that allowed them to come even close to having some game content and feeling of immersion. I have yet to be in a RL crafter's shop that wasn't crammed to the ceiling with all manner of resources and components and machinery. The game, as I wished to play it, forces me to be a packrat. I havecollected resources for nine months to be able to create some of the items that I sell. I have researched and experimented and gotten to my goal, which was to create crafting stations that are 40+. A silly thing, perhaps, but I have felt a great sense of accomplishment to be able to do it.

In RL I do database programming, and I am an accomplished seeker of the hidden flaws. I am also a bit lazy, and do my best to find the most expedient way of doing anything. I am an accomplished AFK-macro musician, and often post such on the musician forums, much to the chagrin of the "real" musicians over there. There is a difference between game content and simple tedium. I wish Sony would figure that out. If they can't give me a simple system for sorting and categorizing the multitude of resources that I need to sort through, then it is not my fault for using whatever tools exist for doing that. I make no apology for my actions in that regard.
