Here's what I think of what people have said thus far concerning resources shifts. I'll point out first of all that I like KillBuckner's idea of dating resources to gauge how much of a risk it is to move all your harvesters to a high % spot. Very good idea, wouldn't be hard to implement, though it's small enough to get overlooked by the devs, I think. Also, the problem witha slow resource shift is that it would require a HUGE amount of computing power on the part of the servers. If you can imagine how many continous calculations would have to be made to keep track of a gradual resource shift, you could get an idea of why they didn't use that system. I think the current system is fine except that they should lengthen the time between shifts slightly. I don't see the need for more than 1 shift per week EVER under any condition. I think a good number would be 2.5 shifts on average per month. That way you can have some time to find spots to relocate to and get everything set up for at least a week before doing it again.

I wanted to add an idea/complaint I had about harvesters. One of the biggest pains to me when moving my facilities not the cred to reclaim them, but the POWER lost when doing it. I think they should implement a way to extract excess power from harvesters. It would be super easy to do and would require maybe 4 lines of code to do. The way I see it, they just modify the Deposit Power screen to show the power in your inventory on the left (like normal) and the power in the harvester on the right (rounded off). The slider starts somewhere in the middle and you can then either add power, or remove power. As for deciding what type get added, just simplify everything and make it whatever type you currently have in your inventory. Heck, the idea is so simple and needed, I'd almost wish they would give me the Deposit Power code function and let me add that in. I just hope that eventually the devs won't be swamped with small changes/additions like this to be able to start implementing some of them.
