Maybe the tape gives you better odds at less crit-fails on the more complex items. Who knows. You can't craft anything you already don't have access to, so it's not like it gives you some artificial bonus to make objects in a skill box you're not already accessing.

I'd be willing to bet it's just better odds at not critical failing, which probably plays big when you're trying to hand-whip up some highly complex object like a PA hall.

Ok, judging by the last post, if it raises your complexity, then what about the Attachment I have. It is -2 structure complexity, does that mean it will lower the complexity of all items I make, thus giving me less chance of failure?
