I have been a combat profession since I started playing and now I'm considering giving it all up & trying life as a crafter (dropping all combat skills). My question is this:
Without combat skills do you still have fun playing the game or do all of you have an alt?
Something about surveying for resources, crafting, and setting up a nice business sounds like fun....

Of course we have fun crafting. If we didn't have fun, would we be crafters?

Yes I can enjoy the game without doing any fighting at all. I do have a combat alt but I haven't done much fighting with him for weeks.
You can respec crafting skills now so its a perfect time to try out crafting. You could drop some combat skills and switch to a crafting prof. If you don't like it then you can respec back.

I even got all the way to Jedi without combat skills.

How did you get to jedi without combat skills? Don't you need a few badges from themeparks?

I HAD an alt for combat, but have given up all combat skills to take up MORE crafting. It's just THAT much fun!

I have a combat/ranger. Played for almost a year and decided to get a crafting "Alt". Well, 10 months later, my "Alt" is basicly my primary toon
I sometimes go weeks without logging my combat. My Master Architect has no combat abilities, has even fired his CDEF in about 3 months LOL. I got Scout 4/0/0/0 and a +15 Mask Scent shirt. Seems to work really well, and I scream "Not The FACE!" alot. But once you get the hang of it, you can keep yourself alive, and there is nothing like the thrill of wading into a pack of Famished Sludge Panthers when all that stands between you and certain cloning is your mask scent LOL. But as I tell others, those resources in the harvesters are Mine, not those creatures, and I want to harvest it when I want to harvest it ROGL.
