If anyone could help an aspiring smuggler, I'd really appreciate it. I'm trying to figure out the best way to grind the crafting tree. I really just want to know what resources I would need and in what quantities. I checked most of the stickied threads to no avail. My apologies if I missed it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Is there something that can help crafting harvesters ?
I have decent materials and have tried many different combinations but it seems like no matter what i try my medium mineral harvesters top out at BR 8. I have a 15% effecientcy crafting tool and a 40% crafting station

Read the FAQ - it has some suggestions.
Also, give us some more information - maybe we can spot the problem.
1. Are you a Master Architect? If not, what boxes do you have?
2. To make medium minerals, you use steel and metal for the Light Ore Mining Unit. What are the values of the important stats for the steel/metal you are using? (HR/SR/UT).
3. How far were you able to experiment the LOMU? (Forget the *rate* - just give the crafting percentage that you ended with)
4. For the final assembly, you used steel / metal / ore / chemical. Did you use Lube Oil for the chemical? What were the stats on the steel / metal / ore that you used? (HR/SR/UT)
5. How high were you able to experiment the final assembly?

???????
There are so many different aspects to crafting that I'm afraid that you're not going to get much of an answer with your topic as broad as it is.
Check this link for a good beginners guide to crafting written by 2 of the designers.

I'd start with artisan, then I'd choose between weaponsmith or armorsmith or architect. Architect would personally be my choice, but it's tough starting the business regardless of which you decide on.
Chef/Bio-Engineer are the other crafting profs but I've never tried those.

Well, you can actaully make cash as a combat profession, if you learn the ways of the loot hunt. But if you want to try crafting, you can always try Tailor too. People always need new clothing, and you can sell 'em on the bazaar real easy too. The requirements are also pretty easy with few named resources.

Architect is probably the easiest grind to Master and makes pretty decent money but the resource requirements are daunting. Having 1.5 mil in credits likely won't get you a good start in Architect. However, if you keep your harvesters running, you willbe able to get a business going. Don't bother with Harvesters until you have a good stock of steel with high (900+) HR, SR, and UT. Also, don't ignore Iron with high stats either. You must have steel but there are several places where any metal will do and iron often spawns with those stats at over 900. The other things you will need are Reactive Gas and tons and tons of Ore. I would recommend startingout with houses or furniture while you build your quality resource stockpile. Then, get into the harvester business.
