Q-3.7 : Why do chemical, gas, flora cost so much more than mineral or water?
A-3.7 : You're guess is as good as mine. Possibly an 'ooop's by the DEV's.
Perhaps because a medium mineral or water uses 3 structural modules, rather than walls. Which is probably as you say an 'oops' by the DEVs.![]()

Here's a question; I looked, but couldn't find it in here:
When creating a harvestor, does the quality of the material used in making the components, other than the mining component, affect the BER of the harvestor? For example, if I'm making a heavy mineral, I know that the ore mining unit has to be good quality and good experimentation; however, do the walls also have to be made from good quality resources

I haven't really addressed questions about the architect profession in this FAQ so thats why your answer isn't here.
When making harvesters, the quality matters for the main mining component and the materials used during final combine. The materials for walls, storage bins and generator turbines does not matter.
What is the maximum BER for harvesters?
Personals - 5 (?)
Medium- 10
Heavy - 13
Fusion - 14 (currently)
Wind - 9 (?)
Solar - 8 (?)
(not sure on personals, wind or solars as I don't build them myself)
