Hey, lets calm down.
Either the guy *really* did make BER20 last week, in which case I think that *ALL* of us would like to know how he did it, or there is some confusion going on. I lean toward "confusion" but I don't know. I certainly don't see any "malice" going on so I don't see any need for accusations.

It is remotely possible that a certain pre-patch part or two used in a fusion today could end up with a wacked out BER rating. Just a wild guess that could explain how someone could end up making a high BER now. But its more likely an innocentmiscommunication somewhere.

Unfortunatly you really don't know what you are talking about as you cannot experiment on the extraction rate of a Fusion Gen anymore, 14 is the max i have made and you can't use any better matterials than i used on that so i started using my second class stuff as it didn't seem to matter much in the final craft, it's all in the ore processing unit

I used +990 Materials and best I get using my +42 machine is 14ber.
But not saying that ehiltonsfriend did not make said 20ber fusion as it would be nice to know how he did it. It is possible that pre patch parts could have lasted this long, but most would have burned them up to create their best Fusions by now. Well before they stated they were fixing things.
So as stated, Ehilton please have your friend come to the boards and explain how he made his 20BER Fusion.

Guys, look how that idiot types. I don't think there is any reason to mistake him as being credible. What are the odds that he is confused and was given a pre-nerf rate20 instead? Somewhere in the ballpark of 100%?

I agree, we all know you can't experiment on the last combine except for storage size yet his friend did.

I think he meant to say his friend sold him a BER 20 fusion about a week ago.
And on another note, don't waste HQ resources on the fusion deed. The OMU is all that matters. It'd be sad to see such resources squandered away on hopper size.

Is that right??
I can use any steel and ore in the final combine and still get 14ber, if my OMU is good enough??
Can someone confirm that?

If this can be confirmed, I can save alot of good resource.

You still need high quality on the final combine to bet the ber 14, but they do not have to be perfect. I have been using resources in the 850 range and getting ber 14.
Highest I have seen is BER 30, and no you cannot create those now. One can only dream.

I used random steel and LGO on the fusion, and I got BER 14 multiple times. As long as you use a BER 6 OMU, you should come out with a BER 14 fusion. Because we can't experiment on the extraction rate on the deed itself, it seems the UT/SR/HR for the extraction rate on the deed do nothing. I'd recommend trying just one fusion with junk metal/LGO, but I know I've made many this way and will continue to do so.
I don't have the stats handy of the latest steel/LGO I used, but I know it wasn't near HQ (like 800+). I'm going to try and test by finding the worst steel and LGO to confirm whether or not the deed resources have any effect on the BER.
