Two factroy crates stacked and you can't move them?

I had this problem, after two weeks I got help. here is the solution.

Target one of the crates type /move forward 1

this will unstack them and you can pick them up again.

Shaylen maybe some houses do not count vendor items toward the storage limit. I know for a fact my medium tatooine house does.

I have 45 items in the house. I have a vendor and a friend has a vendor. When I try to load more on the vendor than the house limit I get an error message about "you cannot sell an illegal item". Every time I get that message I have tried to drop an item and I am told the house is full. So the vendor most definitely is counting toward the limit.

As a related request, why do factory crates take up 5 slots in my house? I "kind of" understand why the devs felt they should in my pack, but why in my house? All it does is force me to store crates in the factory output hopper until needed; it does not lessen the number of items in the database.

Uhh, now im totally lost:

First off, less then a week ago I read a post by one of the dev's saying that right now all houses including PA halls had a hard limit of 250 items. Period. And that they were *thinking* about changing it to match the house size.

Second of all. I can say that the small house sure has a bigger limit then 50. I have over 100 in crates alone in my house lining the hallways plus a full bedroom and back packs full of supplies.

And lastly, I know for a fact that vendor's inventories DO count towards your house inventory. So my bet is that whoever said that their vendor doesnt, doesnt realize that their house is realliy 250 limit.

Thats what I know.

How SHOULD it be?

Depends a lot on what their database can handle. Remember, the highest limiting factor isnt OUR space, thats all virtual, its the hard database space. They just got done 'nerfing' melon's. That gives you an idea of how hard up for inventory space they are.

They did say they are thining about making it related to house size. So it makes sense that they have some system like 120/240/360 as suggested. Though I am sure they will think of different numbers.

Also PA halls need to have a HUGE storage size. For one thing, they become repositories for guild resources. Sometimes numbering in the hundreds if you figure that a well rounded guild will have every profession represented and therefor need a good supply of EVERY resource. Including the hard to find ones.

Also, look at what it takes to furnish a pa hall. The back room across from the entrance alone could take 3 dinning room tables and about 30 chairs. Which would make for a nice council meeting and standing visitors meeting for the guild. Then you have the entire BASEMENT. If they ever make it like they intended, to let guild members live in the pa hall. Then your gunna need private area stuff like beds couches tables and chairs in each of the 4 side rooms plus whatever they use the master big room in the basement for.

None of this includes the fact that you could probably have eastily 25 to 50 floral arangements throughout the building making it look nice.

So you get my drift.

But until the fix things such that they dont need to nerf any more mellon's, chances of all of this happening is pretty slim.

Ohh and btw, they have already said they will be putting in a limit of one house per person. So no, you cant, buy a second house and have al iving house and a store house. But hopefuly they wont implement that until they make it so that you can have a public front room and private back room.

From what I understand of it any items in crates shows up as 1 even if there is more than 1 in the crate. I suggest you leave whatever items you can in the output hopper of your factory until you really need it. And use that 100 spots in the input hopper.

My medium house says I have 96 items total in there but you can tell by walking thru that I dont have close to 96 but then again I have quite a few crates in my back storage room

agreed it should be more. It should be realitve to how many plots it takes. the small small naboo house that only takes 1 plot should have roughly 75. leaving the two plot regular small houses with 150. The Large would get 450, and the PA hall with 675. This would reward thoughs who waste all the plots on one big item.

I have a medium Naboo house as a furniture showroom and have one of each item (sometimes more for things like torches) on display around the house. As a Master Architect that's over 60 items I believe.

When you add in a workshop area with a handful of resource containers and factory crates, you're already flirting with danger. It is impossible to have a vendor with one of every furniture item on it (plus nobody wants just ONE torch) as you quickly bump into the house limit.

Another lovely thing with vendors is that any items on them count towards the house limit even if they have been purchased, but not retrieved yet. This could be an interesting new griefing technique (yes, it has been /bugged).

I think items on a vendor should not count towards the house total. Vendor maintenance should work properly (NPC vendors are bugged) and force you to pay for putting items on them.

Personally, I am having to consider putting up a small house for storage/workshop purposes because even my mainly "build to order" furniture shop keeps bumping into the item limit.

Melchior has his facts right. 250 limit for all size houses.

The reason so many people get confused is the error message displays a misleading total. The error message does not include the stuff in packs or on your vendor but they still count towards the 250 max.

You can complain about the 250 item limit all you want, but no amount of bugging it or corespondent weekly reports is going to get them to raise it. They are looking for ways to decease the number of items in the game, not increase it, thus the melon nerf. If they increased the number, it would create more lag and they would start losing customers as the game became less playable. There is already too much lag in areas with lots of houses stuffed full of items and they are looking for ways to reduce it, not increase it.

I tried to keep this post void of my own opinion on the matter, with just the facts, so don't shoot the messenger.
