Thread: Do Optional Components Matter in a Crafting Station?

Just posting my findings...

I crafted a 99% structural and a 99% item station both with maxed components... ended up with +14.8 (these were crafted about a week pre-patch)

I crafted a 59% armor station about 9 days ago... that one is -14 ish and has all components maxed.

Quality of resources that go into stations definately have an effect (reflected in the 59%-99% difference, as all Items were experimented fully)

The question I have is, how much does experimentation on final build add or subtract. Since I only have 1 experimental point on structures... its a hit or miss for me, sometimes successful, but most often not.

I got a 38.55 on a structure crafting station last night. The options and how far the are experimented on make a huge difference in the overall FR for the station iteself.

When creating a crafting station, there are 2 percentages(Experimentation and Durability I think). Which one is everyone referring to when they state the percent of their crafting station?

I made a weapon crafting station 15.6, all my others were between 14.4-14.8

The materials youuse to make the sub-comp matters so does the experimenattion on the sub-comp. I did an experiemnt using same final combine resources but one with BEST(best material + experimentation)sub-comp and one with WORSE sub comp(worse material + NO experimentation) the best one had a base rating already in the postive(don't remmeber exactly what) and a effectivness at 13%, while the wrose had a rating -27ish and a effectiness at only 11%

notice that SAME effectivness does not = same rating, you can have 2 station with the same experimental effectiness and have 1 with negative rating and the other with VERY good positive rating

- These reports make no sense whatsoever. Some folks are using top-notch materials and experimentation, and getting negative numbers. Others are getting positive 14's and 15's, and still others are getting numbers into the upper 30's. Meanwhile, none of us know what the hell these numbers actually mean.

- I wish a dev would post here... this shouldn't be classified info! This should be in the patch notes.
