Thread: a New idea

I like the concept a lot. Flying mounts won't happen any time soon, of course (maybe not even in our life time ), but making flying mounts rare/special, something one really has to work for is a good idea. The details of how to do it - that's the kicker. DWB is a bit too impossible for anyone it seems, so it would have to be something that would be at least feasible for a CH to do. Even if it required several CH to do it. But, yeah, make it a challenge. Besides having to get the components forcreating a saddle, make finding/taming the flying mount a challenge as well.

As for allowing Master Rangers to use flying mounts, sure. I might be a bit biased as a Novice Ranger, but that's one of the more neglected professions in the game so I'm all for anything that gives a boost to that profession.

Now that the problem of PA hall'shas beensomewhat fixed, how about a solution for mayor's and ghost houses?

Here is a proposal.

When a house reaches zero maintenance, it is placed in 'Custodian Status'

While in Custodian Status, all maintenance on the house will be paid by the current city, town. village, oupost, ormayorfor a period ofsix months. No items can be taken from or placed inside the structure while in this status. During this time maintenance costs are reduced by half. At the end ofsix months, the house becomes property of the Custodian andwill be redeeded.

This status will prevent houses suddenly disappearing and making the city size smaller. While in this status, houses do not count against the custodian paying the maintenance in terms of personal lots.

I dunno, cities are expensive enough as it is. We don't really need more fees to pay for, especially to something that is only taking up room in the city and is doing nothing else.

With the way they have it set up now, and houses going into "condemmed' status, the days of seeing houses "poof" are long gone unfortunatly A very unwise move I think on SOE's part.

There's Supposed to be "Player Purges" where they wipe out unpaid accounts, they're just affraid to do it before the CURB because they expect a large come back.

If there is one, it'll be well after the CU and Rage of the Wookies. Maybe even after Hoth.

The houses should just blow up and if the number of residents gets too low, or the number of houses, then the city hall shoud blow up with all its treasury

If the people who abandoned the houses in the first place would have /transferred the buildings before going POOF themselves, this wouldnt be a problem. If you /transfer toa trusted friend or at leasdt give admin rights to someone else, they can tend your property, perhaps even warehouse your stuff and redeed the house while you are gone. Think of that rather than leaving stuff sit all over. (think of it as hiring a 'house sitter'.

But as much I a hate to admit it, SOE is prolly doing the best thing by waiting till after the CU/ROTW to purge, in my former town, there was a # of folks who came back after a long while to see what was up with the GCW changes, so the principle is sound I think.

Not a chance. You'd be punishing good cities for the actions of players that just up and quit.

Then in this case I resubmit; When a house reaches zero maintenance, the admin should automatically revert to the nearest mayor so something can be done. Punishing current players by keeping these ghost houses is absurd no matter what the future holds for Rage or the CU.

If a player comes back, then logs should hold their data.

BTW, Rangers can track CSR's...who are invisible and cannot be talked to...but I would think they can hear you.....LOL

well the way faction armor schematics work is, you need to be Master AS for the schematic to even be an option, and when it's bought it goes straight into your datapad. It cannot be traded.
