Sometimes, something that started as a bug becomes 'working as intended' over time.
For instance, did you know that factories were originally only supposed to be able to do a run of 100 items at a time? 1000 was a bug, but it stuck.
I'm not an arch, but speaking as a customer, I'm afraid I'm pulling all the archy lights out of my shop, unfortunately. Repositioning them all every month would just be too painful.
Shhhh...quiet you! Don't give them ideas on beneficial 'bugs' that need to be fixed.

They were originally only supposed to do 100 items but it was possible to make them do 1000 items.
The developers made a statement at the time to the effect of "since you've been making 1000 items all along, we're just gonna make the system work that way by default."
Now, however, they use it against us by citing the mass production of items as one of the big reasons they don't want to give us anything else.
I've heard it elsewhere and I completely support the idea of changing the system such that components can be mass produced at 1000 items but final combines should be limited to 100 item runs as was originally intended.
I would have no problem with a 100 item factory run limit on final combines. I actually only use my factory for making components that require identicals from a crate, but if I wanted to do a run on the final combines I can't imagine ever having enough components/resources to do anything over 100.
I only churn them out in batches of 50-100, tho, so it wouldn't really impact me either.
The convenience of popping out a droid with a pre-made schematic is nice, tho.

Well, you'd still be able to make the EMM's and such in 1000 item runs.
You'd be limited to 100 droids, tho.

With your idea, yes, but not with the intended facility.
I wish it had been my idea, but it wasn't.
It's brilliance, tho.
My third char, Sibie, is an archi just starting out and I can see that her first factory runs will be candles.
The general consensus of guildies and other players is that they simple won't bother replacing candles and/or will make do with alot less light.
However if people are going to be looking for replacement candles regularly, they may take time to look at the rest of the items for sale on our vendors and make other purchases.
So far I have hear a few of my guildies remark thier surprise at the new darkness. My standard reply is something along the lines of "you can not discern the mysteries of the force..." ![]()
Though I did see a few more torch sales, nothing like I would have thought. I have not seen anyone buy replacement candles or lamps though...
Here is a list of a few Known issues we are working on with Publish 18:
- Lights/lamps are now turned off
- Some players are stuck in a loop with respec
- Resources on vendors are no longer displaying names
- Droids do not show stats for combat
- All faction armor is flagged as no-trade and can't be picked up
- BE mods are not showing in the final product
- All Mos Eisley NPCs in the Cantina have an information sign above their head
- Items are changing color when crafted via a factory
- Hero of Tattooine quest (Mark of Intellect) - all of the smugglers are named the same which makes it difficult to find the proper quest NPC
- Some players are unable to call or mounttheir BARC speeders
its actually on the TOP of the list. Does that mean it will be fixed first?
