Kind of a fun idea really. I'd sure likea way of getting some of the rare resources other than waiting the weeks (or worse, months)it can take for them to spawn.
Regarding turning 100 units of something bad into 1 unit of something super through some sort of rigorous process, I dont see theadvantage overspending 100cpu for that same resource on auction. I suppose you'd have to fiddle with the conversion amounts, so the principle might work if implemented right.
