Thread: Factory Fix (For my fellow architects here is your factory fix)
My factory still eats structurals and the metal/ore and doesn't produce wall modules.

There's an error with issue #1. It is not a problem with the schematic, it's a problem with the output hopper. If you have enough resources in your factory to make 100 or more of an item, the output hopper will max out at 100 and stop. After you empty it and try to start it up again, it will keep stopping and saying it made 0.
I use a 1000 count Brick schematic, doing batches of 90 to be on the safe side, I never have problems anymore and I don't need to switch the schematic out. I put in enough ore for 90 bricks, I start it up, empty the output hopper when it's done, put in enough ore for 90 bricks, start it up again.
JazzManian - Sounds like you didn't empty your output hopper if it stopped after making 10, output hopper only holds 100, it's not a problem with the schematic.
- Well, these aren't really factory FIXES, they're bug workarounds.
- A factory FIX would be for the developers to hire an actual QA staff instead of letting the players pay them to do it. A FIX would entail the factories working without the players having to dance around the bug.
- I swear, it's almost to the point where I DREAD patches from Sony.
How much ya wanna betthat this was all caused by Sony trying to stealthily "fix" schematics to keep us from pushing them above 100 runs but without actually fixing the dialog box so you can't manually add that extra zero?
Hmm so what happens if i already bugged my factory? How do i "fix" it? Redeed it or something?

If 100 blocks fit in a crate, and the crate takes 1 space in inventory or any storage for that matter, how is it that it is filling the output hopper?
The first time this happened, I had 9 crates in the output hopper.. the old crates at 5 units per.. 3 of them had 100 blocks in each.. I ran 100 more and my factory stopped.. I started again and it stopped, eating the resources..
The next day it was still broken..
Since then I have made runs of 30-60 units, and hired a novice architect to grind walls for me..
A re-deed will fix this.. for the next 100..
Here is a temp Factory Band-aid. Redeeding will cost you NOTHING after Saturday morning. This means that if it stops working... you redeed... and let er rip out the rest of your schematic. Make sure though that you can make a throw away schematic (Level 1 Chair works for me) to get your old one back, OR... after you 100 item run... don't put a new schematic in.
They will fix the factories... but it's obviously a bug they can't quite pin down and fix immediately... so they are giving us a bandaid. Ignore all the other folk's mystic voodoo fixes... cause they do NOT work for everyone, nor do they work 100%. Time is involved... if they are putting them over too long a period (server reset) that'll explain why it mystically works for them.
Not to put all your folks' ideas down... they just don't seem to work for everyone (about 20% get them to work... or less). I do appreciate all your ideas and attempts to help the community though... so do not take me wrong there (c:

Nope. Output hopper was empty. I had taken them with me to start making wall units by hand while the next set of components ran.

This is a bug that will be fixed. For all you archs out there that do your 1000+ schematics... don't whine when it gets fixed and you are not able to make more than 100 at a time. THIS IS A BUG! ANd an exploit to boot.
The answer was already put out there.
Make the runs for 1000 by just adding a 0 to the end of the 100 listed. Then only put enough resources into the factory input hopper to make as many as you need.
I've never had a problem with my factory short of lag while trying to pull items out of factory crates.
Ok, sorry bear with me guys I'm VERY new to this. I made my first factory. I put in a sechematic to make 100 weapon upgrades for my friend smuggler. I put in resources for the two items needed. It made 100 units I took them from hopper I was happy.
Then no matter what I tried to make next after a few seconds it said the factory was done 0 itmes made. I tried and tried and tried and nothing. Finally I "reclaimed" the factory - rebuilt it (eating 2500 credits) and was able to make the next 100 items. After they finished. Boom same problem. I then reclaimed it so it would not eat maintence and energy and came to this forum.
Here's my problem.....You say make 90 rather than 100 - but I dont' see HOW I specify the number to make - the scematic says 100 is it just a matter of putting in less resources so it makes only 99 and the scematic with 1 item left is around to be "ejected".
From the posts it seems as though there is a place to tell the factory how many things to make but I dont see where this is.
If you only want to make 90, simply put in enough ingredients for the factory to produce 90 units, and no more. It will stop after making 90, and the schematic can be used to make 10 more later (assuming it was created with a size of 100).
Hope that helps!
