I have been working on my Architect character since about 2 weeks after release, although I am master in name I am by no means master in reality. I don't think I ever will be, there are so many things I don't know, how can I truly claim to be a master fter just year ?

28 minutes ? I am afraid you are still a novice, no matter what it says on your cv

I matered it pretty quickly but I chose to do walls in non-practice mode becuase i hate waste too. I'd build 40 structural mods then build 4 walls. I stored the walls and as sonn as i was master, I was able to make myself some HQ min harvs right away and start collecting resources for myself. Oh, and it is my alt. that is the Architectas my signature may not reflect that.

From Master Artisan it took my 6 days to reach Master, by hand, before there were gungan head statues or any such thing. My path was simple. People needed walls and I had banked plenty of steel but no ore so if they provided the ore I did the walls. I did like 40-60 walls a day for 6 days. That included down time for delivery and sales of electronics happening at the same time.

It took me months to get the master architect title, but it was one of my proudest achievements in SWG to date. I did the entire profession with my own two hands, hand sampling resources to build my own tools and personal harvestors, and building myself better tools and harvestors whenever I got the skills needed to make them, buying nothing. Everything I crafted I either used myself, or put up for sale on the bazaar to pay for maintenance on my harvestors and house, supplimented by countless survey mission, until I could build medium harvestors which was where I made most of my early sales. Then the first wave of harvestor experimenting started and I cashed in on the upgrading craze as every harvestor in the game was suddenly obsolete, only to have a half ton of angry customers chasing me when the second wave of harvestor experimenting obsoleted those. I finally got master architect a few days after player cities went live, struggling to churn out small houses so my PA could get all of our members houses in our brand new city.

Out of all the professions I mastered, Architect was the one I hated giving up the most for the jedi grind. Why? Because that was one of the few master badges that I felt I had truly earned.

It may only take a few minutes to master architect now, but all it will give you is a badge. Take your time and really work at it, and the master tag will also give you a sense of acomplishment.

wow this is the first time i have checked this thread i made in likea week but um just to let you guys know.. i by no means call myself a "real" architect at all, i grinded it so i could unlock, (it didnt unlock me by the way) i never wore "master architect" title even once and i surrenderend all my skills once i mastered anyways, cause i know i'm not a real master and never wanted to be. There fore i dont pretend to be a real Master of this profession, cause i'm not and never was.. My goal in this game is to be a jedi, and not a grinder jedi but a real jedi, like in the movies, where i actually change the story and make changes in the way people think. I'll be the most well known wookiee jedi this "server" has seen (Bloodfin) my name is Chewwybacos and i will be a jedi one day, OH BTW I'M REALLY DRU;NK RIGHT NOW LATER

I wanna ask you, how much did you enjoy and learn from Mastering the Architect Proffesion?

it took me a few months to master architect coz i was layed back about it and enjoyed doing the odd bit off crafting for orders and i liked being able to unlock skills at intervals so that it made it worth while, but in the end i had to grind the last few box's to save my guild from falling apart by makeing a new guild and city hall

I took my time mastering architect, and i lucked out. As soon as i hit master our guild chief architect quit, so i had to fill the role. I learned a lot in a short period of time. When i was grinding out arch i took my time and experimented on many items, once i hit master i experimented more, and when i got my +20 tapes i did it once again. Being chief architect for the largest guild at the time really helped a lot. I was happy with the outcome.

All i can think of people grinding it out in 30 min- 1 day is its these people that clutter the boards with posts like this:

" i cant get BER 10, help!!!"

"I use Fiberplast with 999 oq and it doesnt help"

"does experimentation on components matter"

" do i need to experiment on furniture, will it last longer?"

etc

etc

etc

You may have master architect badge and title- but you are no master.
