I'm about as addicted to swgcraft.com as I am to the game itself. I constantly checked that site for the latest resources. I'll gladly provide whatever help to get that thing back up and running or donate to keep it up in the future. I wish we had some contact info for whoever runs it so we can figure out what is going on.

Btw - The WHOIS information is not correct... It says its registered to TUCOWS... Which I don't see how that is possible.

You're using a gimped whois tool provided to the general public by some registration company like Verisign instead of a real nuts and bolts tool. Google is your friend.

TUCOWS is just a registering service - you pay them to get you registered - and they carry some of the database information and take a cut on what you paid.

I am also wondering if it has something todo with copyright infringement, especially if they locked a post about it on the boards.

I for one have completely lost interest in playing since SWGCraft.com has gone down, and without it I don't think this game will be near as fun for me to play at all, I cannot imagine how hard it would be for crafters to have to go to every planet and check EVERY one of theresources, it would be a Massive Time Sink that even SOE wouldn't want(Or at least I cannot see a good reason why).

If this site was removed due to a violation of some sort, I just wishsomeone would at least let us know, so we can decide how we want to go about it from there(Maybe we could make a post with the name of the planet as the title of the post, and have everyone try to keep resources current on the message boards).

Badly missing SWGCraft.com....../cry

Also, I can tell you there was no infringement or issues with SOE. The web hosting that was supporting swgcraft.com is gone.

Thanks to the people who helped find the information for contacting the site owner. You know who you are. I will be working hard today and tomorrow to see what I can find out and how the hell I can get this site back up. The longer we delay the farther we get behind in our resources database

You know, for something that is such a HUGE part of this game and it's economics, I don't see why SOE doesn't offer us a resource locator service like he had.

What I'd also like to see is a 'stock market' type of interaction built into swgcraft.com. I was planning on speaking with the webmin to see if I could help with it. How it would work, would be that artisians, miners, whoever would update the site when they bought materials... At what CPU. Then, we could chart the certain materials on their price and see as things get rare how much they cost... As well, would make an easy way to know how much to buy/sell stuff for.... Market price type of thing.. How sweet would that be?
