Picked up a wooden staff within 5 minutes of character creation, haven't fought with anything but polearms since that time (on my primary account/server at least).
The original plan was to go Pikeman/BE, but that was in the days before BE was revamped and it sucked even worse than it currently does. Switched to doctor quickly and have been one ever since.

well I'm Pikeman/Fencer/Doc
But I think I can fit in the "Pikeman only" category since I don't even carry a 1h sword on me ... it's only for the defenses =D

I am a Master Pikeman with Fencer 3-4-4-0, for the added defense for when I PvP.I also have ranger Track four so i can still harvest for when i need extra cash to buy some awesome pike and so i can track my PC prey when i am overt. I am not much of a starport warrior, i like to surprise. Those are the reasons i love this pro and intend to keep it.

Master pike for a few months now, I love it and doubt i'll ever drop it. I'm looking into picking ranger up again, I just love to hunt, and with people paying 100 cpu for good resources, it is quite profitiable. I currently have most of marksman from when I did BH, and some TKA, but they will both go in favor of the Master Pike/ 0-4-4-0 Ranger/ 4-4-0-0 Medic. I can't wait to see what we are after the combat balance.

Congrats!
I'm a whopping 0/1/0/1novice CH right now and loving it. I bought a CL14 BE boar wolf that I'm convinced is my key to getting all the CH xp I'll ever need! He and go take missions and just mow through everything in our path to and from the lairs muahaha. Picked up a peko peko baby on the way to a mission last night. He'll be fun to pull out now and then once he's full grown

Thanks all! Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum...thats cute hehehe I just have always thought that pets were one of the best things a person could have in a game. I am definitely looking forward down the the line to taming a rancor

You actually can have 6 total pets as a Novice CH. You get 4 pets for being a Novice CH plus everyone can have 2 pets automatically which gives you 6 all together. Took me a while to figure out why it said I could have 4 pets, but I had 6 in my data pad
As a side note you can also take Creature Training I: Animal Rapport. This gives you an additional 2 pets so you could have 8 stored without aquiring a ton of CH xp.

That is what's in your data pad. If it's in your inventory, then it's a pet deed (obtained from a Bbio Engineer) and is considered an item. It's not yet truly a pet until you bring it out to tame it.
