When you get 2-3 critical failures on every 10 walls I'd say that macro is a perfectly legit workaround. There is no reason why we should have that many failures. Most of the smaller items do eat the resources and I can deal with that but, failures on larger items and last step failures are absurd. Most of us are selling structures at "bulk resource in a shell" prices anyways just to compete with undercutters so, we can't afford all those crits.

I really think they did something with the latest patch. I hadn't crit failed much at all til Friday, then suddenly, as a MA, I critical failed two small houses in a row, not to mention a fusion generator, half the parts for it...

Every other crafter I know is complaining about an increased rate in crit fails recently as well. I wholly believe in the critical failure. I believe it's necessary. But I also believe that not only should it be less frequent, but it should only take part of the resources/components used.

Bush'wa....you have kept me in the game that Macro.

In 12 builds (of size walls to factories) I had 4 crits over the weekend...I was not happy.

The macro means I can build with the fear I should have as a near master and not the fear akin to playing Russian Roulette, I was close to having to hike all prices.

A macro avoids the bugs not the failures, clearly the non-macro is broken !

When they fix the buggy code then maybe I'll consider the macro an exploit if it truely makes crits impossible.

In this case, yea, the in game macro system is being used for what it was designed for. I use it to help reduce my carpel tunnel problem. I just wish I could have found this working macro MUCH sooner. Would have saved me a lot of pain. Even though I still have to dbl-click the actual resources, It still saves me a lot of useless mouse clicks.

Now that I have Master though, will be doing more of this type of work in my factory.

The macro to bypass crits is no more an exploit as us using factories to bypass crits.
