Yeah theres the basic Artisan buff which any novice entertainer can give. Plus the elite buffs that require either musician or dancer profession.

I made the mistake myself of seeing a guy playing an instrument and thinking they're a musician but any entertainer can play instruments. SO you need to hunt out an actual musician. When I do the search for musicians I've been finding that they aren't that common.

I've also found a few entertainers that don't know too much about the elite inspiration buffs.. But remember that entertainer is just the basic level profession, so thats like asking an Artisan about Architect.

First time I went to the cantina for this buff, I asked an entertainer about it. He didn't know how. He had JUST started entertainer that day. So I went to read the Red Dwarf guide. Came back and had that entertainer target me and type /inspire. He said all he got was options for Chef, Tailor and Artisan buffs. He applied the artisan buff, and ten minutes later I had the buff I needed. Then went home to make up a succesful factory run of BER7 OMU's and a run of BER14 minerals.

Is it possible to make BER 14 harvesters if you are not a 12 point architect?

Yes, I use approx 9-10pts in efficiency for BER14's and have 2-3 pts left for hopper (2-3 amazings help). It can be done, but you probably won't be able to exp. on the hopper size.

Unless you have some steel with 1000 in UT,SR,HR-as if then use a music buff to get that extra 2% on resource stats which will make your 980+ stats good enough to get the 100% needed to get the BER 7 omu

To pull together several of the comments in this thread and clarify:

BER 7 OMUs can be achieved with less than 100%. Prior experimentation does suggest that percentage carries over into the final combine, so the higher the better. I can't speak to whether one can hit BER 7 with less than 100% on other critical subs yet, because I haven't tried them yet. Bespin port can further boost your exp chances if you feel the need.

A musician-given architect buff gives a 2% boost to resource stats and boosts to assembly and exp chances, whereby the general artisan buff is 1%. Which you should get depends on how good your resources are.

Stats on the materials for the final combine need to reach a weighted average of 980. To check, the formula is:

(UT x .50) + (SR x .25) + (HR x .25)

Two irons hitting this mark are in shift on Bloodfin right now: Epeism, at 982, and Nocaium, at 988.8

BER 14 can also be reach in ten or fewer points (fewer coming with multiple amazing's), and the balance of the points if available to you can be put into hopper size.

I have noticed an odd thing in sales. The BER 14s are selling very well at a much higher price than the BER 13s. BER 13's not only continue to sell, but I put my own "used" ones on the market, mistakenly listing them at 10% higher than I typically sell them, and they too were gone in an hour.

Somehow I doubt that. Only musicians can give the architect buff. Getting buffed in one profession type will not increase the resource values with another (I tried it with Artisan buffs making crafting stations). Double check it and after you get the buff, check your buff list to see if it is actually the Artisan buff and then try to see if you can get BER 7s.
